Dr. Kalimpong District Hospital

Supposed to be a Government hospital but surprisingly very prompt service with patients . The doctors and nurses are very kind and polite. Very neat and clean hospital.

Hospital must have changed in these years but 5 yrs ago I had bad experience. Sone nurses are very rude, behaves like they are doing favour on us. My wife was admitted for 5 days but doctor never gave correct information, no updates about reports and on 5th day doctor said her platelets level is very low and need platelet transfusion and referred to Siliguri. My wife was vomitting continuously since days, her skin got reddish, they took blood sample 2-3 times since admission but never updated about report. When we reached Siliguri, doctor said immediate platelets transfusion is required and was very disappointed with the carelessness.

Eye doctor mr Bannerjee was very excellent doctor he has did my eye treatment make my eyes successfully before that I have seen another doctor he told me it is not possible now it is to let he said to me but mr Bannerjee has try and successfully my eyes i always salute him and I gone suggest every one. Good see the only dr.r Bannerjee sir only becos he the on of Best doctor in the kailingpong district hospital he is excellent doctor and I wish him his success for future than you very much sir

Dr hs das is very roudly behaviour me . today..i saw my wife report to dr hs das please government should take action... immediately... this doctor is very very bad doctor

The last time I entered this hospital was for my medical examination on 2018, and again visited for the same reason. Found a lot of positive differences this time, some equipments have been updated, no longer outdated ones. Tests were done much quicker than last time. Staff are helpful as always, there was one lady doctor who scared the hell out of me last time, thankfully I didn't see her this time. I would advise all the locals to make use of this public place, it is free and the service isn't bad. Hope next time I will be able to rate it 5 stars. Thankful for all the services rendered to the public even though some workers doesn't deserve this

Only three stars for it.The only government hospital in the town. One can only be free from the diseases by Rs.2. The govt have a fair medicine shop near the hospital, so if hospital feels unable to provide some medicines from the authority, patients could prefer the fair shop. The hospital had a better facility in recent times but isn't that good as public are forced to visit siliguri for ECG and so on. Floors are kept neat and clean but the toilets are damn dirty with a broken pipes, unwashed floor etc. Most doctors are highly experienced and helpful and nurses can be available almost all the time. An ATM can also be available near the hospital so that the people would be benefited. The hospital also provides ambulance and diet facilities.

I have went for ultrasound and the doctor are taking others instead of the number system I don't know why the Kalimpong district hospital is so careless Government should take action against this

Staffs are friendly. Doctor is available most of the time. Various kind of diagnosis is done free of cost. Popular for x-ray ,MRI and other services with zero cost. People from nearby towns and villages visits this hospital.Every kind of doctors are available although not daily.
