Dr. Durgapur City Hospital & Clinic

I am writing this review to share an honest account of a recent experience at this healthcare facility in Durgapur. Unfortunately, it was far from satisfactory. From the outset, we encountered challenges with staff behavior -- particularly at the reception and billing desks. Communication was poor, and basic courtesy was noticeably lacking. In a healthcare environment, respectful and empathetic interaction is essential, and sadly, that standard was not met. A family member underwent a minor surgical procedure requiring a few stitches, and while the procedure itself was smooth, the aftercare was concerning. After the stitches were removed, a dressing was applied with instructions to remove it after two days at home. Upon doing so, we discovered that a piece of surgical thread had been left inside the wound -- a serious oversight that suggests a lack of attention during the procedure. This raised questions about the thoroughness and quality of post-operative care. In addition, we were asked to pay an extra amount for the removal of the stitches, which was not communicated in advance. While the amount may not seem large, transparency is crucial in all medical billing matters. Given the above, I feel that the overall experience did not reflect the level of professionalism and care one would expect from a healthcare institution. While every facility can have shortcomings, I hope this feedback is taken constructively and that improvements are made -- especially in patient handling, communication, and clinical diligence.

Worst private hospital in Durgapur. Very dirty & unhygienic cabin & no maintenance. Calling bell not working in cabin. Washroom is like public property. Administration is very poor & rude. Doctor visit times slot is not clear. No special facilities in cabin but they charges like 5 star suits.

Good hospital in Budget. Doctor visited daily twice post OT. Cabin is neat and clean. Stuffs are professional and takes care of patient property. Canteen available at 2nd floor at reasonable rate. Free bike parking and car parking with ample space near the hospital.

Some of the Security staffs are very rude and ill-mannered towards patient party and are very disgusting. After spending a lots of money the hospital management does not provide good treatment to the patient party and they are manhandled. Overall very poor performance. The management are non cooperative only do they know is to charge a huge sum of your hard earned money. Don't waste your money here and go for some better hospital. Both long height staffs are very rude

3rd class hospital. Cabin is like very Congested . Now I am at the hospital they don't even want to discharge the patient though patient said he is ok. Even their communication is very bad very rude behavior. They are admit 8 patient in one small cabin only one bathroom very suffocated situation. Worst service and doctor visit slot is not clear they are only hampering patient and patient party. And they said if they get the insurance claim money by today they will kept him for 2-3 days otherwise they will discharge him by tomorrow. Is this anything to say logical? If I can give minus 10 ratings I will put that.Worst hospital

I got excellent services, staff behaviour and in-time action on health issues. I am fully satisfied and likely to recommend others for them.

I was admitted to this hospital (Cabin-5) for some time due to some health problems.The Doctor (Dr.Brojen Chowdhury) & Nursing staff's (S/N- Ms.Priya,Mr.Partha,Mr.Mrinmoy,Mr.Sagor,Ms. Puja,Ms.Nandita) & GDA didi (Ms Rupali & Ms Anita) all are really caring and attentive attitude towards patients, takes time to talk and reassure with a lovely manner. Always around to help out, a great team player and lovely to have around. Thank you for your outstanding dedication and care.
