My mother, aged 95 years, had a massive heart attack in July, 2024. We very lucky to get in touch with Dr. Vinod Vadthya at a local hospital near Nagole, suggested by another locally practising physician (Dr. Arjun) to whom we took our mother first. When we were wondering as to which corporate hospital we should take our mother, the physician suggested the hospital where Dr. Vinod was visiting as a consultant and to our great relief Dr. Vinod fully justified the confidence reposed on him by the physician who suggested us to him. We are very thankful to a very people friendly Dr. Arjun also in this regard. Dr. Vinod after examining the patient told us the need for an angiogram test and if need be, to induce a stent into the blocked artery (angioplasty). He explained the high risks involved, particularly due to the advanced age of my mother. He took great risk and successfully completed the procedures giving us all a big sigh of relief and a new lease of life to my mother. Subsequently also, he has been monitoring the condition of the patient suggesting regular follow up visits and adjusting the medication, as per the requirements of her age and medical condition. Whenever we contacted him on his mobile or WhatsApp to report and seek suggestion for any sudden problem that my mother used to develop, he used to promptly respond and advise us, which we found very useful, particularly during these days of corporate commercial culture in which cashing on the desperate anxious moments of patients and their families have become a norm and much needed human empathy very rare.
