He has performed more than 11,000 cardiac surgeries, covering a wide spectrum of procedures including off-pump and on-pump coronary artery bypass grafts, valve surgeries, congenital heart repairs, and complex aortic surgeries. He has also conducted more than 10 live demonstrations of off-pump coronary artery bypass (OPCAB) procedures, showcasing his surgical expertise and clinical leadership. In addition to cardiac surgery, Dr. Rao has performed over 500 closed heart surgeries and more than 350 lung surgeries, including advanced thoracoscopic procedures.
