I had approached Dr. Naveen Alexander, a general surgeon, with the hope that I would be in good hands given his qualifications. But unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of distressing. From the beginning, I was met with cold, authoritative responses rather than compassionate communication. There was no attempt to understand my concerns, no patience to listen, only curt replies and judgment. It felt like I was being spoken to, not spoken with. Respect is a two-way street, especially in a space meant for healing and that was completely missing here. What made things worse was the complete lack of post operative care. Most of the interactions were with juniors who seemed indifferent and even they did not bother to check on me after surgery. We were left in the dark, waiting for days with no updates, as if communication wasn't a priority. Adding to the discomfort, Dr. Naveen often appeared preoccupied with his phone during consultations. Even more inappropriate was his tendency to crack double meaning jokes and laugh in front of patients including me who had come in pain and fear, looking for empathy and reassurance. This was the worst experience I've had with a doctor and I truly hope no one else has to go through something similar. Qualifications matter, yes, but so does basic human decency.

Patient Reviews
Heartfelt Thanks for Exceptional Care at Ramachandra Hospital We are incredibly grateful for the outstanding care my mother received at Ramachandra Hospital during her open heart surgery. Dr. Periyasamy and his entire team did a truly fantastic job. Their expertise, precision, and compassionate approach were evident throughout, making a daunting experience much easier for our family. My mother's successful surgery and remarkable recovery are a testament to their dedication and skill. The nursing and support staff were also wonderfully attentive and caring. A sincere thank you for giving our mother a new lease on life!
Basically Patient's are siting in the waiting hall to consult the doctor , but the cleaning team was cleaning the dusty air blower without knowledge. It's affecting the people health who have an allergy and asthma. what kind of management. I am going to sue.
I recently underwent an angioplasty procedure performed by Dr. Vinoth Kumar. I am deeply thankful for his immediate diagnosis and quick decision-making, which played a crucial role in the success of the treatment. His expertise, confidence, and clear communication brought great reassurance during a critical moment in my health journey. I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire hospital team. The ICU staff provided exceptional care and attention during my post-procedure recovery, ensuring I was stable and comfortable at all times. The nursing team deserves special thanks for their round-the-clock support, compassion, and professionalism--they truly went above and beyond in making me feel cared for. From the initial admission to the final stages of recovery, every department I encountered was efficient, kind, and supportive.
They have the worst psychiatry department. Some doctors want to harass the patient who is already suffering. They gave me a medicine which lead to ammonia poisoning and I became unconscious for four days. The medicines which they gave induced severe physical problems stiff and painful limbs, including lack of libido which persists after 3 years. Worst psychiatry department. These doctors should try these pills before giving it to patients. No heart no compassion. Satans minions at work. Please stop medical practice. Your medicine is harmful and no benefit. Don't fool others by saying tolerate the side effects for the greater good, there is no good at all. I challenge you to consume these pills first. Don't even give to enemy. Let the patient know of the side effects beforehand. Isn't that medical ethics? Don't go to S Natarajan in this department.
Ramachandra Hospital Porur A Disastrous Experience I made the mistake of visiting Ramachandra Hospital in Porur, seeking help from Dr. Arumugam, an orthopedic specialist sports and science. My family member has been struggling with a compound tibia and fibula fracture for two years, and we were desperate for proper care. What we got instead was a shocking display of greed, incompetence, and blatant disregard for patient well-being. 1. Ripped off We paid 850 for registration and consultation, only to be told by Dr. Arumugam that he doesn't handle fracture cases. What a waste of time and money! 2. Lied to The hospital knew our case history, but still took our money. Unbelievable! 3. Bounced around We were referred to another doctor Mohankumar, who was conveniently on leave for two days. 4. Double-charged We were forced to register again and pay another 700 for a consultation with Dr. Giriraj. 5. Poor care Dr. Giriraj was slow and unclear in his communication. Not what we needed! 6. More unnecessary fees We were referred to yet another doctor, Ramesh plastic surgeon who didn't even bother to listen to our history. And of course we had to pay another 650! Ramachandra Hospitals priorities are clear profits over patients. Avoid this hospital at all costs!
Went to the cardiologist diagnosis made quickly and some confusion among the cardiologist and the surgeons about treatment. After this mother had a bypass surgery recently, then she had a wound infection so recovery is very slow. Readmission made as to worry more. In the post op clinic I met other patients lots of patients had the same problems. Hospital / this department need to work on better post op care and infection prevention and control for better patient out come. Long hospitalisation / Readmission/ infection treatment cost more money and discomfort. Hope this team will work on this.
In my experience today, I reached the hospital around 8:00 AM, but to my surprise, there were no doctors available until 12:00 PM. When I enquired with the staff, I was informed that the doctors were in a conference, and no one could confirm when they would return. This lack of communication and planning is extremely frustrating, especially in a hospital setting. Like me, there were more than 50 patients waiting for hours in the hall--some of them were emergency cases. It's unacceptable for a hospital to leave patients unattended for such a long time without any clear updates or support. Proper medical care is not just about treatment--timely response and communication are just as important, and sadly, both were missing today.
