Dr. Department of Cardiology || Apollo Hospital Greams Road Chennai

Recently in the first week of April 2025, i had undergone emergency Angioplasty procedure done in Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road, Chennai. The hospital took very good care and performed emergency angioplasty without wasting time. I am recovering now. My experience during my three days treatment has been highly satisfactory. The only point which needs an improvement is waiting time for OPD for follow-up and Cardiologist consultation and it is too long and highly unpredictable. Of course, i also understand that, the expert cardiologist must be busy in taking care of emergency patients and thus the OPD waiting time for consultation is too long. So, i really dont know how this can be handled. But my overall experience is very good.

Dr Y. Vijaychandra Reddy is a very good doctor. However the Hospital authorities are not making proper arrangements for the waiting patients and their attendants. Adequate chairs are not provided.

About my Doctor: Patient and Doctors relationship is about 25 years and continued the same with our beloved , respected and honourable doctor Sri Y Vijayachandra Reddy in Apollo hospitals, Greams road , Chennai. Now, I have completed 70 years of Age under his health care and blessings. Good human-being, receives a lot from people and gives a great confidences of healthy life. All staffs are very cooperative and patient friendly. Assistants who attend the patients are nice and amicable. But patients who come for review will be pleased to be seen by the actual surgeon who did the surgery so that patients may have authentic information.

Our experience with Apollo is excellent. Cardiology Dr. KN Srinivasan sir is very friendly and takes good time with patients during review. Especially after returning home we wanted a clarification, we called cardiology department and Dr. Srinivasan's PA assisted well and provided required information. Thanks sir for your all support to your patients.
