Subject: Urgent Concern Regarding Patient Comfort and Room Management Dear Apollo Hospital Management, I am writing to express my deep concern regarding an unfortunate experience my father and our family had during his stay in the semi-sharing room at your hospital. On 25.06.25 at 8.00 pm, an elderly patient was shifted from CCU with bipap to the same room , despite being in a very critical condition. Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) consent form had been signed in advance, and it was known that the patient might not survive . Unfortunately, the patient passed away during the night, and the situation was extremely distressing for me and my father in the room. What was even more concerning was that all post-death procedures were carried out inside the same room from 11.15 pm to 12.30 am ,even though there was a vacant room nearby ,that could have been used for such sensitive matters. We respectfully requested the floor manager ,duty doctor and nursing staff to consider relocating the activities to the vacant room, but our request was denied without a valid reason. My father, who has recently been shifted from the ICU and is partially paralyzed, and with dimeshia significantly disturbed by the noise and the environment throughout the night. He was unable to sleep properly, and this has adversely affected his already fragile condition. Sleep and peace of mind are critical for his recovery, and such events have only worsened his discomfort and anxiety. We expect a higher standard of care and sensitivity from a reputed hospital like Apollo. This incident not only reflects a serious lapse in patient comfort management but also emotional negligence toward other patients sharing the space. We sincerely request the management to look into this matter and ensure such incidents are avoided in the future. Every patient deserves dignity, peace, and proper rest -- especially those recovering from critical care. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope you take the necessary steps to address this with urgency and compassion. Warm regards, Mahalakshmi Patients Name-Seetharaman room no 1120

Patient Reviews
I recently got admitted and underwent surgical procedure in Apollo Hospital OMR under the guidance of Dr. Asha Devi mam and I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the wonderful care I received during my stay. The doctor's expertise and care during my procedure were truly remarkable. The doctor took time to explain the procedure in detail, addressing all my doubts and anxieties beforehand. Her confidence, skill, and professionalism made me feel at ease and assured that I was in the best and safe hands. The procedure was performed smoothly and successfully, and I am extremely grateful to Dr. Asha mam and other duty doctors. Thanks to admission team Shebo and Prabhakaran who took care of admission and room allocation. The nurses especially (Divya, Swarna, sneha and Harini) were truly outstanding -- not only were they highly skilled and professional, but they were also kind, compassionate, and always available when I needed help. They made sure I was comfortable, addressed all my doubts promptly. Additionally, I was very pleased with the housekeeping services in the hospital. The room and washroom were cleaned regularly and maintained to a very high standard of hygiene. The housekeeping staffs (Mahalakshmi, sobir, sugan, subenthu, latha, chinna) were courteous, hardworking, and made sure that everything was spotless and comfortable for me and my relatives. Overall, I am deeply appreciative of the effort made by entire team of Apollo hospital OMR . They contributed immensely to my recovery and made my stay in the hospital a comfortable and reassuring experience. Thank you for delivering such wonderful care. Get well soon card given during the discharge was very thoughtful and heart touching.
This review is for and about Dr. Kannaiyan R (General medicine) My husband was suffering from joint pains particularly wrist, some random allergies. We were neglecting and living with pain. I decided to deal with it. Searched in google on OMR for the best doctor. Dr. Kannaiyan's name popped up mentioning allergy doctor. So I decided to visit him. I booked appointment on a weekday. Took Office work from home for both, sincerely appeared on time for the appointment. The doctor turned 40 mins late, they said he was in rounds. We patiently waited, greeted the doctor and was so hopeful that he will examine, enquire, diagnose, explain and prescribe. What happened really was he was seated in his chair, before the computer. A lady doctor was standing next to him. She received phone calls, spoke to him and replied on call. Doctor was using the computer. Sollunga was the only word he uttered. Without even asking we both explained and told what we needed. He wrote many tests, replied we can fix this, come back with reports. No question was asked on his life style or anything, he never touched to examine the wrist. we were so disappointed. After taking the tests, we went to another doctor and got excellent treatment and hope. Dear doctor, Kindly respect the time of the people who visit you, give them undivided attention, ask questions, take ownership, give hope by talking, try to reduce the worry and be Empathetic. I wonder why we were treated with absolute no importance. We came out in just 6 minutes and we had no clarity on anything we came for. Such a lifeless consultation and Rs 700 paid for that. Worst experience and management please have some protocol in place to avoid all these.
I would like to give feedback about the general services provided by housekeeping staff. I would like thank all for their services- Sintu, sukhendu, kamakshi, mahalakshmi. They were kind and patient. Mahalakshmi took care of my elderly mom with utmost care who was in lot of pain. The room was hygiene and clean till the last moment of our stay. Tharaa
My treatment experience at Apollo OMR was really good. From receiving in Emergency to till my discharge everything made me to feel ease and comfortable. My thanks to everyone..
My husband underwent a kidney stone removal and there were a lot of complications. Dr.Jatin Sony urologist was really good and very patient and was there till the end and took all the efforts personally and made the entire surgery a success. Another big thanks to the interventional radiologist Dr.Senguttuvan who also was god sent and was very instrumental in the success of the surgery. The junior doctors were also very supportive. Big thanks to the insurance help desk person Mr.Parthiban. Very supportive in getting the approval done despite of back and forth queries. Nursing staff were very supportive and house keeping bhaiya Shankar was also very helpful. Thanks to the entire team.
Parking space is difficult and cars parked in front of the road causes issues . Also bikes parked in the way by blocking fire exit. Don't know how fire department gave permission to this building. See the images. How people will come out in case of fire. Staff and doctors count itself more than 100. Patients and attenders and Out patients count also there.
Extremely poor management no time sense,no updates on patients if asked,I never expected such a terrible experience with doctors, few nurse and admission team....so much of money time and energy waste over the last 1 week.Never ever recommend this branch. I have seen hospital managing schedule to the T and here it is very poor. Doctor come after 3pm for ward visits, sometime even after 5pm and we had to keep waiting with no response.
