In December of 2020, I had an episode of syncope which was investigated and resolved.For the entire 2021 and going into 2022, I was healthy and well with no health issues. However in mid April 2022, I decided to consult Dr. Jeremy Chow at Mount Elizabeth Novena for a full cardio-vascular assessment. As part of the cardio-vascular assessment, I had a 48 hour ECG Holter monitoring and it registered ECG changes. Dr. Chow had me undergo a treadmill stress test and the results were positive for myocardial ischemia. Two weeks later I underwent angiography which revealed 80% stenosis of my left anterior descending artery. As a result,a stent was inserted.I am grateful to Dr. Chow for being so thorough in his assessment of me and diagnosing that I had stenosis despite my not having any cardiac symptoms. He was attentive to my concerns and explained all tests and procedures to me with intention and clarity. This truly puts me at ease and made me confident in his treatment. I greatly appreciate Dr. Chow's professionalism and dedication in caring for me. I turned 80 years old this year (2025) and am in good health! I continue to be able to maintain an active lifestyle including leisure cycling and tennis. I had been a patient under the care of Dr. Jeremy Chow of AHVC since year 2020. I have a pacemaker installed by him in April 2020. He ordered a 24-hr ECG and subsequently another 48-hr ECG to confirm prior to the decision to install the pacemaker. The follow-up medication has also helped to control my blood pressure. Frequent monitoring of AF is being done. Dr. Chow is keeping a close check on my progress ever since. I am thankful for his constant care.
