Our recent experience with CKRD Hospital has been deeply distressing and unacceptable, especially considering the sensitive nature of patient care expected from a medical institution. The patient was admitted for a knee replacement surgery. However, on the third day post-operation, her oxygen levels dropped drastically. The hospital staff failed to provide a timely and clear diagnosis, and no proper communication was made with the family members regarding the patient's deteriorating condition. This lack of transparency and urgency raised serious concerns. What's more shocking is the inhumane and threatening behavior of the ICU staff. One of the staff members allegedly told the patient, "We will cut your vein and nobody will come to know." Such statements are not only unethical but amount to a serious breach of medical conduct and patient rights. Despite the critical condition, the son was not allowed to meet his mother, further adding to the family's anxiety. The overall environment became highly tense and untrustworthy, ultimately compelling us to shift the patient to another hospital for better and more humane care. We strongly urge the hospital management to take this matter seriously and take appropriate action to ensure such traumatic experiences are not repeated for any other family. Patient care must go hand in hand with compassion, clear communication, and professionalism.
