However, the doctors are good but the nursing staff has got serious behaviour issue. If asked about certain things don't reply properly. I asked them to give my patient some pain relief, they didn't and instead talked very rudely and asked not to keep telling them. I am highly disappointed by the nursing staff. You need to be very patient and kind towards the patients but they don't even care to be gentle.

I am a 4th year MBBS student at AIIMS Rishikesh. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent experience I had at Tura Civil hospital. When one of my family member was admitted, I encountered several issues related to the behavior of nursing staff as well as the overall infrastructure of the facility. Firstly, I must address the unacceptable behavior displayed by some of the nursing staff especially in the female ward which is just near to the female Oncology Ward. There were instances where myself & the patient felt dismissed and uncared for by certain nurses. Their lack of empathy and professionalism significantly detracted from the quality of care that the patient expected to receive. It is imperative that all staff members adhere to the highest standards of patient care and interpersonal communication. Furthermore, I was dismayed by the inadequate infrastructure of the hospital. The outdated equipment and facilities gave the impression that the hospital is struggling to keep up with modern standards. As a patient, he/she expect to receive care in an environment that is conducive to healing and recovery. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of this expectation. I hope these issues will solved soon.
I had multiple unfortunate experience at Tura Civil Hospital, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment with the overall state of the medical infrastructure and the behavior of the nursing staff. While the hospital boasts some excellent doctors, the lack of adequate facilities and the unprofessional conduct of certain nurses overshadowed any positive aspects. One of the major concerns was the inadequate infrastructure at the hospital. Despite having skilled doctors, the lack of modern medical equipment and facilities hindered the delivery of quality healthcare services. This deficiency not only affected the efficiency of treatments but also compromised the overall patient experience. Another disheartening aspect was the behavior of some nurses. While it is important to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of healthcare professionals, encountering rude or unhelpful behavior from a few nurses was disconcerting. Patients and their families should be treated with compassion and respect, especially during times of vulnerability. Instances of dismissive or unprofessional behavior by nursing staff further contributed to the disappointment and frustration experienced during the visit. It is important to acknowledge that the behavior of a few individuals does not reflect the entire nursing profession. Many nurses are dedicated professionals who genuinely care for their patients and uphold the principles of their pledge. While it is disheartening to encounter unprofessional behavior from any healthcare provider, it is essential to address these concerns through proper channels, such as providing feedback to hospital management or filing complaints if necessary.
It's one of the best hospital around the city...it located in West Garo hills....from tura it hardly few kilometres.... specially the nurse students are very good behaviour.... doctors are also very friendly....
We were at Onvology dept for a week thus the Doctor she was fantastic listening to paitent and guiding the attendent accordingly, Nurses and Matron of all shifts were very very humble, the ward boys and cleaners hardworking keep thier floor toilets clean. The sonography personal were also having good attitude towards paitent and attendent. Thus it is difficult to find such environment in the government hospitals. As suggestions ward boys who take the patients have to be trained how to take them on strecher trolly to transfer from one place to other. They are rough it harms the patients. Then in the ward the bulbs are fused fan regulator not working no one is there too look into the maintenance as hospital is beautifully constructed hoping they take care of this section also.
Clean ,water is available, doctors are good but some nurses behaviour is not good especially when someone don't understand their language, I request the Head of the civil hospital or manager of civil hospital ,please tell nurses to speak hindi also, because not every patients know their language THANK YOU
Parking Management is poor. Parking facilities is often occupied by permanent settlers in and around the hospital area. No public toilets for OPD patients.
