The serrvice is very bad. Especially Dr. Reshma from gynochology dept. I went for my pregnant wife checkup and she behaved very rude. Even the hospital staffs who provide the token is not saying the waiting time. Me and wife with our 2 kids who are 2 yrs old wait for the doctor for almost 5 and half hours and my wife vomitted 3 times there and nobody cares. When we ask the Dr. Reshma, she replied like you have to wait, otherwise go to other hospital. Never expect this type of behavior from a gynochology doctor. Never ever going to this hospital again and i will not recommend anyone.

Patient Reviews
Every patient deserves some semblance of privacy while talking to a doctor. Management, please ensure that doctors' rooms are not crowded with other patients when another one is being attended. This is clearly a violation of confidentiality.
Unlike the doctors and the nurses, the hospital facilities are not satisfactory. I booked the VIP executive room for my delivery. I had a c section and when shifted to the room, I felt I was in some medical college or government hospital. The walls were dirty, tiles broken and dirty, the cloth on the sofa was torn, the patient bed was torn and broken and about to fall. The diwan which was supposed to be the bystander bed was torn and rough like a stone. Coming to the bathroom, there was no hot water in the bathroom. VIPs has to go with a bucket to one of the corners on tht floor to get hot water . The bathroom was unclean all the time with small flies on the wall all the time. No cupboards and no hangers. I was supposed to be in a very comfortable environment after my surgery ( according to the amount I was paying for the room.). However, the experience in the room turned out to be a nightmare for me. The nurses said they are helpless when we questioned them about this indecent facilities. They say everyone complain and they are helpless. I was there only because I was comfortable to consult the doctor (my gynaecologist) and wanted my delivery to happen under her supervision only. It was a trauma to be in the room which was very unhygienic and pathetic.
Last month, my father was admitted to Indira Gandhi hospitalI have never been to such a dirty hospital in my life.None of the staff there has a proper idea of how to treat a patient. The hospital manegent should treat the staff to beave properly
Had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Reshma V M (Obstetrician and Gynaecologist) at Indira Gandhi Hospital, Thalassery. Instead of offering care and support, the doctor shamed the patient for her health concern and treated it like something to be hidden. She also was not ready to listen to her concerns properly. Shockingly, she even changed her name on the medication receipt without consent, saying it was "better to keep her identity hidden" even though the patient was okay with it. This is highly unprofessional and unethical. No patient should be made to feel judged or embarrassed for seeking medical help. What was a treatable issue turned into an emotionally distressing experience. Very disappointed with the insensitivity shown -- not how a doctor should treat a patient.
Excellent young doctors and nurses they are completely professional and energetic i went there for food poisoning and they acted real quick .. smart people may god bless . I was very comfortable and they made me feel very good they asked about every symptoms
2/5 stars "Warning to all patients: Be prepared for significant delays and disappointment at indira gandhi co op Hospital! Despite booking appointments in advance, patients across all departments are consistently forced to wait 1-2 hours beyond their scheduled time. I'm baffled as to why the hospital continues to accept bookings despite being unable to honor them. Is it a lack of resources, poor time management, or simply a disregard for patients' time? Whatever the reason, it's unacceptable to waste patients' time and disrupt their schedules. Patients plan their day, take time off work, and make arrangements for family members, all based on the scheduled appointment time. But when the hospital fails to adhere to this time, it causes unnecessary stress, anxiety, and inconvenience. To make matters worse, the hospital lacks basic amenities, including: - No waiting area - No seating facilities, leaving elderly patients to suffer I urge the hospital management to take immediate action to address these issues. This includes: - Improving their scheduling system to ensure realistic wait times - Increasing staffing levels to reduce delays - Communicating more effectively with patients about expected wait times - Respecting patients' time and apologizing for delays - Providing basic amenities, such as waiting areas and seating facilities Until then, I would caution patients to think twice before booking an appointment at this hospital .
While the staff at Indira gandhi hospital were polite and good, I was disappointed with the lack of transparency regarding charges. It felt like the hospital prioritizes profit over patient care. I strongly advise anyone considering surgery here to ask detailed questions about the costs involved before proceeding. The doctors should take responsibility for informing patients about all charges upfront to avoid unpleasant surprises later. The overall experience left me feeling dissatisfied, and I wouldn't recommend this hospital unless they improve their communication and billing practices.
