Dr Shafeeq Mattummal serves as Chair & Senior Consultant in Interventional Cardiology in Meitra Hospital, Kozhikode, Kerala. He is a national proctor for TAVI and EVAR. After MBBS, MD (Internal Medicine) an DM (cardiology), he had extensive training in Complex Coronary and Structural Interventions from University of Bern, Switzerland in 2010. His expertise ranges from Complex Coronary angioplasty (CTO, Bifurcation, LMCA stenting), Rotablation, IVL, etc to Structural & Valvular treatments including TAVI, LA appendage closures in AF patients, PFO Closure in Cryptogenic stroke in young, Septal ablation for HOCM, Adult congenital interventions like intracardiac shunts ASD, PDA, VSD device closures & EVAR &TEVAR for aortic aneurysm & dissection.
