Good doctors, but hospital needs better structure and transparency The Medical Centre in Kottayam, located at Nagampadam, is one of the well-known hospitals in the area and is managed by the Catholic Church. It has all the major specialities and a good team of doctors for outpatient care. However, there are concerns about lack of billing transparency and charges being on the higher side, which can be disappointing for patients who expect clarity and fairness. The hospital infrastructure is quite old and poorly organised, making it confusing to navigate, especially for first-time visitors. It consists of two separate buildings - the main hospital and another block mainly for inpatients - but there's no clear signage or flow between them. Parking is another big challenge, particularly during peak hours. If the hospital's limited parking is full, the surrounding roads are very congested and it becomes difficult to find alternative space. Also, there is a fee just to enter the premises by vehicle. Overall, while the doctors are experienced and reliable, the hospital would benefit from better facility management, improved navigation, and more transparency in billing.

I have been visiting S. H Hospital since 2016 regarding my mother's treatment. We have received incredible service from the staff since the day one till now. The hospital is always clean and well-organized. The doctors and nurses provide exceptional care. This hospital stands as an example of high standard healthcare services with high professionalism and passion. This hospital is going through a renovation process and the Canteen and Pharmacy already got enhanced with top standards. Being in the middle of the town, this hospital can be easily accessible through road and rail ways.

All excellent. Dr Sreejith M G, staff are all good. Only exception is canteen. Very bad food. Not palatable. Earlier the canteen food was great. What happened? Poor quality and taste. Rest all great... Clean rooms, bathroom, housekeeping service. Thanks to doctor Sreejith M G, gen physician, especially.

Affordable treatment at easy accessible location. Health care with compassion. Experienced Doctors and dedicated nursing staff. Hats off to Housekeeping staff for the maintenance. New medicine dispensing counter with token system is very useful. F and B Division's SH Moreish Restuarant offers versatile delicacies. Salute to Security Staff for managing car parking constraints effectively. Patient Care Team responds with less turn around time with smart solutions.
