Lisie Hospital is one of the oldest and most reputed hospitals in the Ernakulam area. Visited today with my brother's son -- since it was early in the morning, there wasn't much crowd, and we were done within an hour. Overall, a good experience.

Patient Reviews
I had a very disappointing experience at Lisie Hospital's cardiology department. Patients were given tokens early in the morning, but we ended up waiting for 6 to 7 hours without any communication or updates. The doctor only arrived around 7:50 PM, which is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the hospital management and the PRO have been unresponsive to the complaints of the 40 patients and their bystanders who endured this long wait. This situation is not only frustrating but also reflects poorly on the hospital's commitment to patient care. I hope they address these issues promptly, as this kind of service is truly pathetic.
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the extremely poor service and medical negligence experienced at your hospital during my mother's recent visit. On 5th August 2025, my mother was scheduled for an ultrasound scan. While on her way to the hospital, she experienced dizziness due to low blood pressure. Upon arrival, she was admitted and advised to undergo ECG and blood tests, which were completed the same day. However, no form of treatment was initiated following these tests. The following day, the ultrasound scan was performed as planned, yet still no treatment was provided. Since the previous night, my mother had been suffering from a severe headache. We requested the nurses multiple times to provide her with medication for the pain. Shockingly, it took them several hours to respond and administer a tablet, which proved to be completely ineffective. This morning, the headache persisted, and when we again requested medication, we were told by the nursing staff that the hospital did not have headache tablets in stock. This kind of response is absolutely unacceptable in any medical facility. After repeated requests, she was eventually given another tablet that again provided no relief. The headache only worsened, and yet no further action was taken by the hospital staff. Eventually, my father had to leave the hospital, purchase medicine from an outside pharmacy, and administer it to my mother himself. Only then did she experience some relief. It is appalling that a patient admitted for nearly two days received no proper treatment, suffered in pain, and was forced to rely on outside help for basic medication -- all while being in your care. The lack of medical attention, delayed response, and unavailability of basic medicines reflect a serious lapse in your hospital's duty of care. Two days my mom is just admitted without any treatment but only get the tests and scans done. As we stay nearby there is no point in them getting my mom admitted to do the scans and blood tests. Such a pathetic service. Given a chance, I would take this as legal action. I request that this matter be investigated immediately, and necessary action be taken to ensure no other patient goes through such a disappointing and distressing experience at your hospital and get this fixed immediately on my mom's health as she is still admitted there for no reason.
The Worst Service Experience we have felt in our life. We were treated like trash by the Nurse handling the OP of Gynac on the day 08/07/2025. Who gave them permission to insult us? question us?. We do respect the Nurse Job and their Dignity, but Nurses like this makes it the worst. I would like to request the Management to take Necessary action against this matter. Include basic behaviour attribute refresher training to nurses.
My father was hospitalized at this hospital in July 2024 for liver disease treatment. He was received in the St Alphonsa block. A nurse (name I am not mentioning considering her livelihood) lacks any sense while working there. She often debated with us and with other nurses. The head nurse often arrives and reprimands her. Once the head nurse leaves, she used to tell us that the head nurse is crazy, so don't pay attention to her. Whenever we pose questions to her, she reacts with anger and responds with, "Don't you have ears to hear?" This is an incredibly unprofessional manner to handle patients. Arriving at the HR department, I required two documents to be signed from the HR division to claim reimbursement for the bill totaling Rs 2,20,000/- from my workplace. He refuted it by providing unjustifiable explanations. (Previously, during my father's earlier hospitalizations, I obtained their signatures from Amrita Medical College and Sudheendra Medical Mission as well). My mother and I went to the hospital at least five times after discharge to have the documents signed. He rejected it without any doubt. Ultimately, we missed the chance to receive a refund of approximately 2 lakhs from my workplace. We went to the hospital solely due to Dr. Mathew Philip. However, we were mistreated over there by that specific nurse and the HR administrator. Therefore, consider carefully before visiting this hospital. (We visited the hospital for the Authorization of above documents even after my father's death in November 2024. All the time the HR admin used to reject it)
Today, my father and I completed our health check-up. The team's clear guidelines and instructions helped us finish all the tests on time. I recommend doing a health check-up at least once a year - it's a great way to prioritize self-love and take care of yourself. After all, prevention is better than cure!
The women staff at the Lisie Hospital restaurant billing counter are quite rude. At a place where empathy and professionalism are essential, especially in a hospital setting, their attitude is disappointing. Even basic questions are met with hostility. A little courtesy and willingness to help would go a long way.
Lisie hospital is still the old way.The attitude has never changed and the doctor one i attended today thinks he is a god and the only cardiologist in the world. They are not treating people freely and people are educated too.The old way of giving out is already gone even in schools. I did not do any tests as he advised due to his behaviour and left hospital.Let him learn from doctors from other hospital like Astor ,Rajagiri etc.The old 'Madambi' style is already gone. Not telling much and not to anymore to lisie.Very much disappointed and lost a day of life.
