Dr. St. James' Hospital,Chalakudy

The experience was excellent once checked into the room and till discharge. The nursing care, doctors and other services were superb. However, the stage from admission desk to checking into the room was very disappointing. Long waiting... more than two hours it took for this stage alone. The hospital management should relook into this.

I had a very disappointing experience at St. James Hospital. I was admitted in the casualty, but the service was extremely poor due to a serious shortage of staff nurses. There were no senior staff available, and everyone seemed too busy to attend properly to the patients. No one was explaining what tests were being done or what the next steps were. The lack of care and communication was very frustrating. Patients deserve better attention and support during such critical times.. Kindly provide more staffs in emergency department.

I had a very disappointing experience during my visit to St. James Hospital. One of the staff members, a female lift operator, was extremely rude and disrespectful toward visitors. Her behavior, attitude, and facial expressions were unprofessional and made me feel very uncomfortable. It was surprising and upsetting to see someone with such poor manners in a hospital environment, where compassion and respect should be a priority. I hope the hospital takes this seriously and ensures that all staff treat visitors with the courtesy and respect they deserve.

I had a very good experience at St. James Hospital. The doctors and staff were exceptionally supportive and caring throughout my stay. I would especially like to thank Dr. Binoy, who stood out with his kindness, cooperation, and excellent treatment. The operation was a great success, and I am truly happy with the outcome. Everyone went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and cared for. I'm deeply grateful to the entire team for their dedication and support. Thank you all!

I wanted to say a great thank you to Dr Binoy in Orthopedics in st james hosp chalakudy. Great doctor and other staffs such as nurses and attenders showing great care, compassion and professionalism. I had a surgery done and felt really cared and satisfied , once again thank you to Dr binoy and the nurses in level 6 deluxe rooms sides as well.

I went to this hospital for my mother's surgery two weeks back. She had a fall and fractured. The service we received from the hospital was superb. Dr. Rohit ortho doctor gave me confidence , all will go fine with the surgery. Sir and his team special thanks to all the doctors.Service of nursing staffs was excellent .cleaning staff and the canteen service was very good. Thanks to all the people who helped to make our stay comfortable. Dr . Rohit sir thank u once again

Nice hospital. Expert ortho doctors. Staff behaviour is also good. Only thing is lack of professional approach. We have to enquire everything for our requirements. Except this, a good hospital

I visited the hospital emergency department on February 16, 2025, with my 10-year-old son, who was in severe stomach pain and crying uncontrollably. Since I am a person with a disability and was alone with my child, I parked near the casualty area due to the urgency of the situation. However, instead of prioritizing my son's condition, the attender insisted that I park in the designated area, despite the evident emergency. I had no choice but to leave my crying son there and move my car, which was extremely distressing for both of us. Upon reaching the casualty department, the reception staff's attitude was cold and unhelpful. The lady handling registrations was on a personal phone call while asking me for my son's details. She did not pause her call to properly assist me and kept asking for information repeatedly. When I suggested filling out the form myself, she continued her conversation, showing a lack of empathy and professionalism. Additionally, she asked for a hospital number, which we did not have since it was our first visit. Instead of informing me beforehand, she made me refill another form and directed me to get a hospital card, wasting precious time in an emergency situation. Had she been more attentive and proactive, the process could have been smoother. Due to this unpleasant experience, I decided to leave and seek treatment at another hospital where my son's condition was taken more seriously. I hope the hospital management takes urgent steps to improve emergency care, staff professionalism, and patient empathy--especially when handling critical cases.
