I recently visited Aster MIMS Kannur for a routine full body check-up along with my family. This is our third time doing the Executive Health Check-up package here, which is the most premium and expensive option. It's costlier than similar packages in any other hospital I know, but we always chose MIMS expecting top-quality service in return for the higher cost. In previous visits, the full check-up was completed within 6 hours. However, this time it took almost 9 hours to finish, which was tiring. We only had around 6-7 department visits, so the delay was unexpected. I understand there may have been a rush of patients, but when a hospital grows, its systems and staff should also improve to handle the increased demand more efficiently. Another area of concern was the reception staff. Their communication wasn't very positive or welcoming, which was surprising given their years of experience. On the other hand, the assistant assigned to help us was very polite, helpful, and cooperative. It felt like they were new, and their attitude was much appreciated. That said, the hospital remains very clean and well-maintained. The departments we visited were organized, and the canteen food was delicious -- both breakfast and lunch. The dietitian and the consulting doctor who explained our results were excellent. They were polite, clear, and made the process feel personal and reassuring. Overall, while the medical care at Aster MIMS Kannur is of high quality, there is definitely room for improvement in service efficiency and front-desk communication. For the premium price they charge, the overall experience should be smoother and more customer-friendly. I hope they take these points seriously and continue to maintain their reputation for quality healthcare.

Waited for ages to get a vaccination done for my kid... Terrible We paid close to 9k inr for the 3rd vaccination for my kid and the experience is terrible. The vaccination room itself is too small and patients have to wait outside more than hours to get the vaccination done. Better to check for some other hospitals... it is already over hyped and too much crowded. i would say... they are not giving the facilities for the money we pay. No priorities will be given to newborns... need to wait minimum 1.5+ hours. They have limited seats.. we stood for all these time And they kept feedback qr code everywhere and it won't work
This is my fourth visit to Aster MIMS. Their facility, services, and the staff's behavior are truly commendable. Every department operates systematically, which helps avoid crowding. They also provide plenty of seats and waiting areas in front of each department, so we don't have to stand while waiting for our turn. The only negative aspect I've noticed is that elderly citizens or people who don't have a basic understanding of English or numerals struggle to find the medicine and billing counters, even though everything is organized systematically. However, the staff are very kind and helpful towards them. If you are planning to visit, it's an excellent choice. Just be sure to choose your doctor wisely, not just the hospital.
Pharmacy experience was quite depressing. It took almost 45 minutes to get medicine even though the staffs were working really hard. You have to ensure more facilities and arrangements in such a prestigious hospital for not making people waiting and spending such a huge time for getting medicine
I recently visited Aster MIMS Kannur for an AVF creation surgery, which was successfully completed at 3:30 pm. However, we experienced a significant delay in being assigned a room post-surgery. Despite being assured that we would be informed when the room was ready, we waited until 7:30 pm without any update. It was only when we inquired again at 7:45 pm that we discovered, through the security personnel, that our room had been ready since 6:30 pm. Unfortunately, there seemed to be a miscommunication, and we were not informed accordingly. Although this incident was disappointing, I am pleased to say that the exceptional service provided by the hospital's staff, doctors, and facilities largely mitigated our frustration. The quality of care was outstanding, with impressive doctor expertise and attentive nursing staff. The facilities were modern and impeccably maintained, with a strong emphasis on cleanliness. Communication with the staff was also excellent, with prompt and clear responses to all our queries and concerns. In light of our overall experience, I wholeheartedly award Aster MIMS Kannur a well-deserved five-star rating. However, I do hope that the hospital will take necessary steps to address the issue of room assignment delays and miscommunication, ensuring that patients and their families do not face similar frustrations in the future. By doing so, Aster MIMS Kannur can continue to deliver exceptional healthcare services without any room for improvement.
Well structured admission process, well behaved doctors and staff, observed a very good teamwork from entire staff. All doctors are highly professional as well as down to earth personality while mingling with patients. Received a good care and exceptional service. I would recommend aster mims to any one who is in need.
My father-in-law was admitted to MIMS Hospital with chest pain, and we are truly grateful for the immediate and professional care provided by the doctors and staff. Their prompt response, accurate diagnosis, and compassionate treatment made a big difference during a critical time. We are very satisfied with the care he received.
Good doctors but bad management, worst staffs. They have really good doctors working for them, but have zero management skills.. OPD is a disaster, they accept infinite numbers of patients for a single day.. No time slots or time management. You have to spend one whole day to consult the doctor. Its not just OPD, for XRAYS, Scanning or Lab its all the same. No token system at all. Max patients for making Max money. The staffs on the reception have zero idea how to take booking- or will never inform you that you will have to spend a minimum 4 hours to consult doctor - even if you have booked in advance - I have faced this issue in almost all departments. And the parking facility is horrible - and if it rains - you should get a full body wash after visiting MIMS
