Dr. Adarsha Hospital

I visited Adarsh hospital today to the cardiology/neurology department and was very impressed with the level of care I received. The staff, from the nurses, (especially the nurse HRITIKA in cardiology reception was incredibly welcoming and always keeps a smile on her face )to the doctors, were incredibly kind and caring. The facilities were also very clean and well-maintained. I felt comfortable and well-cared for throughout my visit. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone seeking medical care.

This hospital has the potential to become a great hospital within Udupi. I have been visiting them for the past 10 years for various treatments. Hospital has excellent doctors who are best in their respective fields. However the hospital fails in operations management and is miserable with respect to customer service. I am comparing their service to Manipal, City , Pranav , AJ Shetty and Yenepoya hospitals in the Udupi - Mangalore region. If someone from the management is reading they can take a note. I have provided the same feedback in the discharge form. Pros/positive : - fully equipped hospital with modern diagnostic set up - experienced and specialized doctors - doctors are very kind and their charges are reasonable - A special thanks to Surgeon Dr.Prashanth Shetty. - cashless facility available from major TPA insurance providers - located in the heart of the city - surgery cost and room rent is reasonable - housekeeping, patient attenders are very kind Cons /negative: - reception area is congested and gets crowded even with less patients. Que system not followed - staff in this hospital are not service oriented. They are insensitive to patients and sometimes rude. Customer handling training is required for reception, billing, Insurance and nursing staff. - some parts of the hospital is not clean, especially the entrance area was stinking with shoe socs smell for 3 days - upi payment in the pharmacy has issue. They made me pay the bill twice because the payment was not reflecting their account books. They refunded me on the day of discharge - patients caretaker need to rush to the pharmacy 3 to 4 times a day to get the medicines. They could directly deliver it to the patient ward instead of troubling the family members. This is difficult for old age patients - Special rooms do not have a lock, so patients care taker needs to carry the valuables with them (laptop, gold, money etc) all the time wherever they go - there was a money theft in the hospital during our stay. One of the staff member lost around 4000 rupees and CCTV was not effective - Room allotment and admission process is cumbersome even for scheduled surgery cases. It took 3 hours for us to get the special room allotted. Why can't they do investigative tests after admission when doctor has already suggested surgery? Why can't the blood samples be collected from the patient's room ? We were roaming around in the hospital with our luggage doing various tests. There was no cloak room available. This is a serious process loop hole. - lift is always occupied. Better to have a separate service lift and the speed needs to be better - even though the bathroom has hot water geyser, it's switch is centrally controlled and hot water is unavailable after 3 pm. For the sweaty weather of Udupi evening bath is required but no hot water available - few of the nursing staff is very lazy, they are not attentive on patients and are rude too. They don't have a service mindset - Special rooms do not have dedicated dining tables for each room. One has to wait until the other patient finishes the meal. It is a basic need and hardly costs 2000 rupees for a plywood table. Else provide a adjustable steel tray type of movable tables. - Insurance team is not efficient. Who carries a passport photograph to hospital? Their form has a mandatory photo requirement. I have not seen this requirement in any other hospital. Your file has to.pass through 4 to 5 departments before it reaches the team. They take their own sweet time to process and your file is submitted only after 2 to 3 follow-ups. My Insurance service provider approved the claim in 30 mins but the file submission took almost 4 hours after the doctor wrote the discharge note. They should make the process online to save time. - OPD doctors unavailable before 11 am, this makes you spend an entire day at hospital even for simple diagnostics. No doubt the hospital provides the best healthcare service at a reasonable price but the patient experience is bad with the horrible service and unnecessary complicated process.

The doctors and nurses were professional and provided good care, and I appreciate their efforts. However, the pricing was extremely high, and I noticed several extra charges added simply because I have insurance. Even with coverage, I ended up paying 20% of an inflated bill, which made it feel like having insurance was pointless. If you're planning to come here with insurance, be aware--it might still cost you a lot more than expected. I don't know why insurance company are not taking it seriously

I was nearly 20 days with my mother.My mother choose the Adarsh hospital for her treatment.I was referred by my friend Dr chethan to Dr.Megha Pai.My special thanks to madam and entire staff for timely support and cooperation between staff..we went with complaint of only back ache..but .. earlier stage in all test nothing could detect.. Fortunately megha madam with communication to Satish sir..advised for MRI....before discharge...my mother has cardiac arrest in hospital.Entire team of doctors helped with the help of Dr.Srikanth cardiologist my mother got rebirth in the same hospital.I can't forget the care love timely support of all staff ancillary...nurse... students.. floor wise watch man both ladies and gent..canteen ..medical staff..and insurance staff.My special thanks to Dr megha Dr.srikanth ..Dr.Sateesh..Dr.sheety..Dr.Kamklaksha sir..chandrakala sister..Dr.chandrashekar sir..lord visnu and Mahakali bless your entire team to serve humanity...Again thank you mega mam for reciving and responding my call round the clock..Even from.your staff I got contact of Gujra nurse care..It also helped me to give better days to my lovely mother..

My father was admitted here recently due to some major complications. With the excellent care he received, he is now recovering well and was discharged today. We are truly grateful to the entire team for their support during this challenging time. I had an excellent experience at this hospital. Dr. Chandrashekhar M.D. and Dr. Sudeep Shetty were highly professional and compassionate throughout the treatment process. I am especially thankful to Sister Eugine for her unwavering support and guidance. Her warmth and dedication were truly comforting. The entire nursing team, under her leadership, cared for us with such kindness and attention--it truly felt like being looked after by family. This hospital offers not only top-quality medical care but also genuine compassion. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking trusted and effective treatment. I had a very good experience at Adarsha Hospital. The staff was professional and caring. Coordinator Rani was especially helpful, guiding me throughout the process and making sure everything went smoothly. I appreciate the support and service. Highly recommended!

I have visited here for overall health check ups and Rani madam assisted very well. During my Gynee opinion Dr Ranjitha spoke very well and gave me positive feel. Overall it was very nice .

Dr. Sathish nayak, his professionalism, patience, and genuine care for patients are truly commendable. He take the time to listen, explain treatment options clearly, and ensure you're comfortable throughout the process. Highly recommended for anyone seeking quality medical care.
