Pavgada shri shanimahatma temple is a holy pilgrimage in Karnataka.There are room and prasada facilities by temple.There is also a fort and other temple behind the main temple.Saturdays will be more crowd.Nearest temple Nagalamadike dedicated to Lord Subramanya and you can see the one of the largest solar power plant enroute to it

I came to this shanimahatma temple to get rid of any dosha's by pooja. To do Pooja we have to pay 100 rupees. They will make everyone to sit infront of God who took tickets for Pooja. My pooja name was sarva Pooja. It took 1 hour to complete this pooja. They will ask to stick some oil on your head in the process of pooja. And they will also give one god's mace to touch your head and shoulders. Photography is allowed inside. It was crowded when I visited. And we have to throw some oil packets and one black cloth in the fire after the pooja. So the purpose of this pooja is if I have any dosha's , it will be removed. It's the belief of people.

I recently visited the Shani Mahatma Temple in Pavagada, and it was a truly divine experience. We had an early morning darshan around 4:00 AM and were fortunate to witness the Taila Abhishekam, which was a powerful and sacred ritual. The cost for the abhishekam was 300, and it was absolutely worth it. Within the same temple premises, we also had darshan of Sitaladevi, where we offered vadibiyyam (rice offering). The temple space is small but spiritually very vibrant. Since we visited on a Saturday, it was quite crowded. Do note that there are limited tickets for Taila Abhishekam, available on a first come, first serve basis--so make sure to arrive early.

Pavagada is famous for the Shan Mahatma Temple dedicated to Lord Shani, and when I visited, there was no crowd. The temple, known for the Shani Nivarana Pooja, is conveniently located beside the road.

Pavagada is a town and a taluk in the Tumkur district of Karnataka, India.[3] Historically it was part of the Mysore kingdom. Though it is geographically connected to Chitradurga district inside state of Karnataka, it comes under Tumkur district.[4] It is 157.8 km (98 miles) from state capital of Bengaluru. Uttara Pinakini river flows into this Taluk. Pavagada Taluk falls on the border of Karnataka, hence a majority of the population are bilingual speaking Kannada and Telugu. The town is famous for its fort located on the hill, Kote Anjaneya temple at the foothills and also the temple of Sri Shani Mahatma.

Do not buy pooja things (saamagri) outside the temple. The price is around 450/- rupees. I don't know what the temple administration is doing. Small 42/- rupees rupees oil bottle they charged 100/- rupees. I request other devotees not to buy pooja things here. If possible bring it from home. I hope the temple administration takes serious action against the sellers. Or else the temple will get a very bad name. Om Shaneshwraya namaha

A wonderful place so busy yet peaceful everyone knows this place is mean for the worship Ness and promoting a peaceful family life to all the devotees, the temple authority has its own room facilities along with free parking place for 4 wheelers and 2 wheelers, with really nice beds and attached Washroom in a good condition at a cost of 400/- rupees only, and the iconic thing is that they provide prasad (Annadhana for all the devotees). Pleasant experience if you go for the first Pooja at 3 AM... Actually queue for this counter starts at 1 AM. If you want to sit very near and experience the pooja you need to be in the queue. But heavily crowded in sravana masam.
