I recently admitted my cousin to Balaji Institute of Neuro Sciences & Trauma in Hubli and was very disappointed with the condition of the facilities. The washrooms were extremely dirty and consistently wet, with a strong, unpleasant smell. & they don't have a Air ventilation Pipe Despite paying 3500 per day for a special room, the lack of cleanliness made the experience far from satisfactory. I would not recommend this hospital based on my experience.

Patient Reviews
Worst experience we had in this hospital. Though doctor seems qualified, the admin & nursing staff here are truly unprofessional. They just behave like morons. They accept fees only in cash. Insurance department doesn't know the procedure at all. We availed cashless treatment for which every now and then staff made us to buy the things saying those were non claimables. Hospital charged us more than double for cashless treatment. They just went on adding the names of all the available doctors (relevant or irrelevant) in visiting charges for all the days we stayed admitted. Dr. Kranti Kiran never visited but bill shows daily visit. The staff show us his sign as a proof of visit..!! Even for consultation of in-patient we had to be in queue for long hours. Pathetic experience.. Think twice before you think of insurance here!!
I want to share a very painful and unfortunate experience we had with this hospital, so others can be aware and make more informed decisions. We took my sister[19 years] to this hospital for back pain based on a relative's recommendation. During the consultation, Dr. Kantri Kiran advised immediate surgery, saying it was urgent and necessary. Trusting the doctor's advice, we proceeded with the operation. Sadly, the surgery led to severe complications. After the operation, my sister lost sensation in the lower part of her body and was unable to walk or control her bladder and bowel movements. She had to live with a urine catheter for over three months. Concerned with her deteriorating condition, we consulted another specialist in Bangalore, who told us that there was clear nerve damage caused during the surgery. He explained that this resulted in a condition known as saddle anesthesia -- a serious outcome of surgical error. What's even more disappointing is that after the surgery, the operating doctor did not visit her at all. Only junior doctors came for post-operative rounds, and we never received proper updates or support regarding her condition. There was no accountability or clarity. Even today, my sister has not recovered. She is still struggling with urinary and bowel control, and has numbness in the affected areas. The specialist in Bangalore informed us that it may take years -- if at all -- for her to recover, as the damage is severe. On top of all this, we were charged a huge amount for the procedure and hospital stay. It felt like the hospital was more focused on making money than ensuring proper treatment and patient care. Based on this deeply traumatic experience, I strongly advise others to seek multiple opinions before agreeing to any surgical procedure here. I do not recommend this hospital to anyone.
Balaji hospital has all the facilities for the convenience of the patients. From the initial encounter to the final discharge everything went smoothly. Thankyou
Disappointing Experience at Shri Balaji Institute of Neuro Sciences My experience at Shri Balaji Institute of Neuro Sciences in Hubballi, Karnataka, was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I strongly advise anyone considering this hospital to read the existing negative reviews on Google - they are unfortunately accurate. The staff here is consistently unfriendly and unprofessional. I was told my wait would be "half an hour," which inexplicably stretched into six hours. This happened because Dr. Kranti Kiran was either in the operation theatre or in a meeting. If the doctors are so busy, why are appointments accepted in the first place? It's a blatant disregard for patients' time. It feels like this place is designed to waste your time and energy. Adding to the antiquated practices, they only accept cash payments, which is bizarre and inconvenient in this day and age. Do yourself a favor and do not come here based on recommendations. The negative comments you find online are legitimate reflections of the service you'll receive. My advice: read the reviews before you even think about stepping foot in this institute.
