He was very efficient during the surgery when he found an additional blockage which he also fixed dynamically thus preventing the necessity of a future repeat angioplasty. Naturally, we were anxious and wanted to rule out anything serious. Though Dr. Karthik Vasudevan was busy, under the guidance of his colleague Ms. Sujatha, we went ahead with a series of tests. What stood out immediately was that, despite his schedule, Dr. Karthik was quietly monitoring everything from the background. Once all the necessary reports were in, Dr. Karthik called us in and, within just a few minutes, explained everything with such clarity and confidence that it felt like a huge weight had been lifted. He laid out the course of action, the timeline, and reassured my father with his calm demeanor. What was remarkable was how he transformed a moment of fear and uncertainty into something that felt manageable--even easy. His presence alone had a calming effect, and it was clear he understood not just the medical side but the emotional one as well. On another day, after the prep work by the nurses and duty doctor, Dr. Karthik returned, spoke to my father briefly, and in just about a minute, managed to get him smiling and laughing. That moment said a lot. My father felt reassured and safe, which meant the world to us. During the procedure, Dr. Karthik kept the family regularly updated, and when we had decisions to make, his clear communication and composed manner made everything much easier to process. Even post-procedure, he remained attentive, personally checking on my father in the CCU until discharge. What really stood out is that despite his packed schedule, Dr. Karthik is constantly attentive, never missing the personal touch. He balances professionalism and empathy so effortlessly--it's rare and commendable. The result? My father walked out of the hospital with a smile and laughter--something that speaks volumes about the experience. Thank you, Dr. Karthik, for your dedication, expertise, and kindness. Dr. Karthik may possess considerable knowledge in cardiology and heart-related conditions. However, in my experience, he appeared to use his medical expertise to encourage patients to undergo major surgeries, to get financial gain from them. It feels as though he exploits patients' vulnerabilities, suggesting surgery even when someone is on their deathbed. Manipal Hospital's management seems to support this behavior and the Manipal Hospital management prioritized revenue over patient well-being. In my case, once it became apparent that no further financial benefit could be obtained, there was a complete lack of communication and support from Dr.Karthik. Tragically, I lost my family member under his care, and I believe this outcome could have been different had decisions been made in the patient's best interest. To me, this was not the care of a healer--it was the practice of a heartless cardiologist.

This person's priority goes like 1.money 2.money 3.money and 4.patient. When he advises any procedure or surgery, please please take second opinion. This guy never explains negative side of surgery and only positive side. He just pushes for surgery/procedure in the interest of money. His attitude changes(soft to rude) soon as you opt for surgery. His cliche dialogues included medical field is advanced, trust medicine, age is just a number and even people is eighties are undergoing surgery. Unnecessarily gave false hopes and made us go ahead with bypass surgery. My father never recovered after surgery. Its my bad that I trusted this guy and ignored the advice of other doctors we consulted in past years.

Absolutely unethical and money-minded doctor. Shows no real concern for the patient's actual condition -- instead gives false hopes just to keep the treatment going and bills piling up. Completely ignores critical warning signs and risks, misleading families at their most vulnerable. Prioritizes profit over patient care. Avoid at all costs if you value honesty, compassion, and ethical medical practice.Never ever go to this doctor.

My mother, Mrs. Poonam Singh, was diagnosed with multiple blockages in her coronary arteries, so we consulted Dr. Karthik for a second opinion. He thoroughly reviewed her previous reports and angiogram, and recommended angioplasty for one of the affected vessels. He also advised a closer inspection of another vessel during the procedure to determine if a stent would be necessary. On July 4th, 2025, the angioplasty was successfully performed on one vessel. After a detailed evaluation and transparent consultation--including my involvement in the decision-making--the team concluded that the other vessel was not severely affected and could be managed with medication alone. The entire process was handled with exceptional transparency, responsiveness, and professionalism, which made a significant difference for us during what could have been a very stressful time. I sincerely thank Dr. Karthik, Harshita Ma'am, and the entire medical staff for their compassionate care and smooth handling of the procedure. We truly appreciate the support and clarity we received throughout.
