Patient Reviews
I visited Narayana Health City for the first time for my pre-employment medical checkup. It was a good and comfortable experience. The staff were courteous and readily available. Cleanliness and hygiene were well maintained. I also appreciated the efficiency of the NH Care app and the timely update of reports. Overall, excellent service!
Exemplary team of doctors. Dr Rohit is one of the best gynecologist. I really felt very comfortable having done my surgery at Narayana health care. Highly recommend this hospital for anyone who is looking for professional medical expertise. Prior to this my sister too had a surgery under the consultation of Dr Rohit and the whole process was so smooth. Even though my sister had complications they made her feel relaxed and post surgery their follow ups were also systematic. Seven years back my mom was treated for breast cancer. Her treatment was our first encounter with NHC and the doctors treatment and counselling were excellent. My mum is a cancer surviver and all credit for her good health goes to the oncologist and her team who diligently cared for my mum. Continue the good work NHC !
Rating 3/5 My wife was admitted to the emergency after she had pain in her stomach. Narayana health immediately admitted her and started the pain management. Same day she was admitted to the ward and then got discharged next evening. Starting with the good part: Doctors are qualified and experienced. Once you come to Narayana your treatment will be top class. You don't have to worry anything about the illness. And their paperless initiative where you get your reports in your app which I feel is good. They have ready to go Ambulances, good parking facilities. Now not so good part: The one word for it is Administrative issues. The day before she got admitted in hospital she had similar pain and doctor advised her to go in day care facility and told that she will get a wheelchair. She was in lot of pain and then also she had to wait for 25 minutes just to arrive the wheelchair From 1st floor to 5th floor. Once the wheelchair arrived the nurse took us to ground floor and later realised the day care unit is in 6th floor. During the admissions on 6th floor, Nurse asked me to take patient again to ground floor for the admission first for which i had to argue for 5 mins and they after some disagreements she got admitted in daycare. To continue on the administrative issues, there were lot but the major one was settling on the final bill. I opted for the insurance and they presented bill amount of approx 25000. I thought this is the final amount, but I got a discharge slip of approx 31000 which i asked why the amount is different . The billing section lady clarified that the final bill for the insurance company is different from the customer (in case of no insurance or if insurance is rejected). This is insane coz it means the hospital is charging customers more than they filled for insurance. Later my insurance got rejected due to specific illness waiting period and I had to pay approx 29000(3rd amount) that i don't have any answer. Their charges varies based on customer situation. Not good. Apart from Administrative issues, their canteen is near to the parking space which creates lots of dust while you are eating. Just a gentle advise to shift their canteen to indoor space. The third one is the different doctor and nurses keep on asking same questions again and again. And the patient on lot of pain had to explain their situation again and again. Now this is not a doctor or nurse issue. They want all information for a good treatment. I feel there should be a platform where they record all the patient history and instead of asking patient, doctors and nurses should be advised to refer to the patient history before visiting them.
I had done my mom surgery (laproscopy) on July under the Dr.Shruti Deviah, I am very much satisfied with the guidance and the procedure which was given to my mom , the entire 3rd floor (320A) nursing team is very much professional and with very humble nature. I am thankful to Dr Shruthi and her team and the nurses of the 3rd floor.
It was a horrific experience. I went to see a gynecologist last month and met the doctor. This month I wanted to meet another gynecologist not the previous one. I booked the appointment and paid the consultation fee and reached there on time. The receptionist told me to wait for 30-40 mins as they have gone for lunch. After sometime one of the receptionist came and asked why did I want to switch the doctor? I told her my reason and she said to wait. After 20 mins another receptionist came and charged me like why you wanted to switch the doctor? I was not happy the way she asked , the tone, the attitude and she was charging me as if I have done a crime. I asked is there any policy or have I given you any undertaking that I can't switch the doctor in the same hospital? She didn't have any answer just made the face. Then she started if the new doctor said yes, then only we can allow you. Then she said the jr doctor is checking your profile, then we will get the confirmation from the doctor whether she will see you or not. I had waited there for almost 50 mins just to watch their nonsense drama. My question do you have any policy in the hospital that patient can't switch the doctor? Then why the hell you allowed me to book the appointment with the new doctor. Legally no hospital can restrict any patient to change the doctor within same hospital for whatever's reason it may be. This kind of behaviour and attitudes were not expected from anyone in such a hospital. Finally I was so stressed that I cancelled my booking and returned back without any consultation after wasting 1 hr just to listen these people's nonsense speecg. This is such a scam as a patient if I am paying a hefty amount as a consultation fee, who is the hospital to put the restriction on the doctor I choose. If this matter goes legally everyone knows what will be the output.
Chaotic system. No streamlined process. Too few machines per patient. Endless desk-hopping, zero clarity. No one has real answers. This just related to international wing but other departments are good. Not recommended for package health checkups. Complete waste of time.
I had a disappointing experience at Narayana Health City. I had taken a health checkup package for my family, but unfortunately, there was no proper orientation or guidance provided throughout the process. The staff were proceeding with tests without checking whether the person was fasting or not, which is crucial for certain tests. Additionally, for the report review, it didn't seem like the right specialists were being assigned -- they were just allocating whichever doctor was available in the shift, without considering the patient's needs or the relevance of the specialty. Suggestions for Improvement: Ensure a proper orientation is given to patients before starting the health checkup, explaining the sequence of tests, fasting requirements, and estimated timings. Appoint a dedicated coordinator or counselor to guide patients and address their doubts throughout the process. Assign appropriate specialists for report reviews based on the patient's health profile and the type of tests done, rather than simply the availability of doctors. Improve patient communication and care -- ensure staff are courteous, attentive, and proactive in checking patient conditions before each test. Provide clear written and verbal instructions to patients beforehand regarding preparation, such as fasting or medication restrictions. I hope the management takes these points seriously to enhance the patient experience and deliver better healthcare.
