I recently visited Dr. Rajendra Kumar Pahan at Orchid Medical Centre, Ranchi, regarding dizziness, weakness, and unusual head pain. Unfortunately, I did not have a satisfying experience. When I told him that I'm a student who studies for 7-8 hours daily, he quickly said, "Stress se hota hai" -- without exploring any further causes. I specifically mentioned that my head pain isn't normal: when I wake up and lift my head off the pillow, I feel a sharp pain for a few seconds. Instead of explaining the reason or checking if there's any deficiency or issue, he just asked "Zor ka pain hai ya normal?" -- and when I said it's normal, he casually replied, "To hota hai." I had also done some blood tests before visiting him, and some values were slightly elevated. But instead of explaining what they meant or whether they were really nothing to worry about, he just said "Ye koi tension wali baat nahi hai" -- again without any proper explanation. As a patient, I went to him for clarity and guidance. But I felt unheard and rushed during the appointment. Doctors should give proper time and make patients feel understood, especially when it comes to health concerns that are affecting daily life. I hope Dr. Pahan takes this as constructive feedback and gives more attention to patients in the future.
