Infrastructure is great but with the numbers of patient the infrastructure and the staff is less which cause delay in treatments and long stay of patients to nearby house and hotel. Jk government need to add 2 more skims like institutions for timely and hassle free treatments to its residents and periphery state and ut people..

Best Hospital in the whole J&K I heard a lot of stories of patients from this hospital and my one of my relatives Baby is some disability and they brought her to this hospital and here the doctors treated her for 1 yr and now her health is so good from the past 1 yr.

S. K. I. M. S Kashmir's number one state medical institute. Provides almost all the medical facilities. It has nearly no fee for O. P. D checkups. Majority of the doctors are specialists. The fee for laboratory tests is also minimal. It has valley's biggest cancer Institute, State Cancer Institute, SCI, which is the biggest achievement of this place. But one thing is there that the staff requirements according to the Institute are not satisfied. Still it's doing a very good job in the entire valley. Their work is really admired.

There is no value for human life here. we have to wait one hour just for one injection. My brother is a cancer patient -- I brought him in an emergency, and the doctors started his treatment without even checking his blood pressure. Later, when we told them to check it, his BP was 80/40. How can someone be so careless? Just look at the condition here -- patients are lying on trolleys, and we have to get trolleys from NGOs. There's only 1 nurse for every 100 trolleys

Went to the ER because my Mother in law had high blood pressure when I checked at home. The foolish doctor we spoke to was 1. Annoyed that we don't document her BP which she has never had a problem with in the past, 2. Annoyed that I personally checked her BP which was high at home. This jerk of a doctor told me "u caused panic out of nothing her BP is fine" impossible. I've been checking BPs for 15 years. She came in a couple days prior as well and the doctor then was helpful. So since he stated we're good to go, we left to get her medicine and checked her BP by another person. Guess what? Her BP was high. Never trust a hospital that has doctors that are disrespectful and rude. I don't give a damn what's going on in your personal life, I myself am in the medical field and patients come first. This is why I never trust the doctors in Kashmir cuz of foolish people like him. He could've risked her life and that's the type of person working in a hospital. Pathetic. Never trusting this place again.

SKIMS is undoubtedly the leading medical institution in Jammu and Kashmir, offering a wide range of specialized treatments and services. Overall, SKIMS is a lifeline for healthcare in the valley, but addressing these challenges would further enhance its reputation.

The Doctor's and the other staff are rude towards the Patients and the attendees. In various cases they are demanding money. The SIKIMS SOURA has become the corruption Hub.But no one is giving attention towards these lacks and problems.

If you want to get treatment you have to take an appointment date but the funny and important thing is you need anyone who knows you and gets space for you because in this institution getting treatment for the poor is hectic.Personally i visited this hospital for my mothers treatment and each time i sat on road as rich people take advantage of their wealth and attendants permit them first even Doctors treat them best.When poor gets chance to get in Dr.send them for list of tests for just a simple running nose too. Over all service is good for wealthy ones.
