As I had lower pack pain due to disc bulging, I was unable to walk longer and had some numbness in hip area while standing longer, I consulted Dr Pankaj Sharma a neurologist, as per his guidance and recommendations I consulted Dr Rakesh Luhana at VENUS SUPER SPECIALITY HOSPITAL. He thoroughly explained me OT procedures showing pictures that I have to undergo a MISS L5-S1 laminotomy + foraminotomy+ discectomy + TLIF L5-S1. He told as it is minimal invasive surgery there wouldn't be any blood loss, almost zero life risk & speedy recovery ( I had undergone CABG Bypass surgery in 2010). That gave me & my family a great relief, we signed for the surgery. Got pre-approval for mediclaim from TPA two days before the operation. I got admitted one day before the surgery. The hospital is very neat and clean. Nursing staff and ward boys are ever ready to help me out, checking my vitals, giving medicine time to time. The operation went very well with out any problem. When I opened my eyes, I was in my special room with my family members around. By that evening physiotherapist made me sit in my bed, by night wardboy took me to the washroom. Next day by afternoon post operative pain was minimal, I started pa-pa pagli at my own. During evening visit of Dr Rakesh he asked about my well-being and Post operation x-ray to the nursing staff. On 3rd day morning after looking at the X-ray, he instructed the staff for my discharge. By 12 pm billing staff initiated my cashless insurance claim approval procedure. By 3:30 pm whole claim was approved, it was very quick & smooth. By 4 pm I was at my home. My Physiotherapy experience was also very good, they explained me dos & don't, they told when to come for follow up & total recovery would take 6 to 8 weeks. With out any doubts I would strongly recommend Dr Rakesh Luhana, if you have any problem regarding spine. He is highly ethical & super skilled neuro & spine surgeon. A very passionate, kind hearted & down to earth human being. His entire team (Dr Harshal, Dr Roshan, Dr Jimit, Dr Chirag, nurse Dipti Sirke, ward boy Hitesh and the rest) is very dynamic.
