Dr. Dr. H.K. Chopra

The most unethical doctor I have come across. My sister was in his care for a couple of years for a heart ailment which she later discovered she did not have. He made her go through a barrage of tests and she was having medicines prescribed by him for 2 years. Not only that, she was admitted for laparoscopic gallbladder surgery in Moolchand. Since my sister was his patient she was admitted under his care. The hosspital waited for Dr Chopra to come back from vacation (3-4 days) and then too the surgery was delayed. We heard the surgeon asking if he could go ahead and Dr Chopra said no wait a few more days. After 10 days and a bill of 3 lakhs she was released. This was 7-8 years ago. The best part is that the operation was a botched up job and my sister had to undergo another procedure in Gangaram Hosp as all the stones were not removed in her previous surgery. Such doctors give the medical profession a bad name.

Dr HK Chopra is really a very knowledgeable, compassionate & a concerned doctor. He truly listens and provides a confident experience with absolute humility. I have never felt rushed out of his office and he is very good with explaining conditions & treatment. He is vested in the overall well-being of his patients. His vast knowledge is evident in his perfect clinical acumen. With him I know my family & I are in safe & trusted hands!

We have been visiting Dr. Chopra since 2009-10 since when he was the President's Doctor. However 12 years later, we had an experience which showed us that with age he has become money minded. He advised a holter test for my mother and strongly insisted that we admit her to the hospital. For the unknown, you don't need admission for a holter test and can get it done at home. When we didn't get my mother admitted at Mr. Chopra's behest, his attitude changed in our subsequent visits as if we caused some trouble for him in meeting his 'targets'. Sad to see such a good doctor becoming greedy for money.

Dr. HK Chopra at Moolchand hospital has been our family doctor for years now.He is a doctor who will always have the patient's interest first. An expert in his field, his diagnosis is always spot on and doesn't give unnecessary medicines. He is always very considerate,kind, and patiently listens to our queries.
