Dr. Manipal Hospital Dwarka

While the doctor attending to my mother was efficient, kind, and very helpful, the overall experience at Manipal Hospital, Dwarka has been extremely disappointing. Despite booking and paying for a semi-private ward, my elderly mother--who is already suffering from a serious blood infection--was shifted to a general ward without our consent. The ward had multiple patients with visible coughing and infection symptoms, putting her health at further risk. What's more disturbing is the careless attitude of Mr. Akshay, the manager on duty. Repeated requests and concerns were ignored, and there was a clear lack of sensitivity in handling a vulnerable patient. Doctors may be doing their best, but the hospital's administration and ward management are shockingly poor. If you care about hygiene, patient safety, and dignity--please think twice before choosing this hospital.

The registration process is extremely time-consuming and stressful. It typically takes around 30 minutes per person, and there are usually 20-30 patients waiting for registration or admission at any given time. With only two windows available, patients often have to wait at least 2 to 3 hours just to complete the registration

My father, a retired Army personnel with an ECHS card, was admitted to Manipal Hospital on 14 April 2025 for chest pain. We had an appointment with Dr. Y.K. Mishra, but the surgery was done by Dr. Virbhan Balai and his team. After the stenting and ballooning procedure, my father's condition got worse. He now has constant chest pain, which wasn't there before the surgery, and also developed mid-back pain. Despite having 11 stents earlier with no issues, this time his comfort and health have gone down. Manipal Hospital charged us 90,000 even though ECHS usually covers the cost. Also, the hospital staff was unprofessional and asked my mother which medicine to give, which is unacceptable. There has been no improvement in his condition since the surgery. I would not recommend Dr. Virbhan Balai to anyone.

I visited this hospital expecting quality care, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. It felt like the main focus was more on making money than genuinely helping patients. The consultation felt rushed, and I was recommended multiple tests and procedures that didn't seem necessary. I understand healthcare is a business, but compassion and ethics should come first. Had knee arthoscopic surgery at Manipal Hospital, Dwarka. Was very worried about the surgery but the staff and doctors made my stay very pleasant. Thank you Ms. Leena for going through the trouble of making the billing and clearance for me when my attendant was not available.

This hospital seems more focused on making money than actually caring for patients. I paid 1000 for a consultation, and just a few days later when I went back only to show my reports, they charged me 1000 again. This is nothing short of exploitation. In most reputable hospitals, follow-ups for reports are either free or have minimal charges. Charging full consultation fees for such a basic thing is completely unjustified. This is highly unprofessional, and I would not recommend this hospital to anyone.

Grateful to Dr. Vikas Yadav(surgeon) for outstanding care and expertise he provided during my mother's gallbladder surgery. He was polite, thorough, and explained everything in detail, which gave us great sense of reassurance. My mother's surgery was successful and she recovered well.
