Patient Reviews
Hello everyone, generally we all get to hear the quote "health is wealth" and corporate hospitals like medicover hospitals have worked seriously and redefined the quote as "your health is our wealth". ***This review is my personal experience and rest is upto you*** I would've given 0 star rating but this is the least I can give for the review sake. After experiencing their generous and courteous service for 45 days. I'm saying this that Medicover hospital urology department is the worst especially the chief is "The worst" . my family and myself have had the worst and most memorable bad experience. It's a bit lengthy but worth for all the patients who wish to get treated for urology especially the chief doctor Ch.Subba Rao. He might be well reputed and experienced but his actions and words are completely different and unethical. -> I had two ureter calculus in both my kidneys. I was told to join immediately and get those stones removed else my kidneys will be damaged. -> I was told to admit in 7th floor and I was operated the next day morning at 5:30. I was operated by a trainee doc(looks like a fresh graduate passed from college) and not Subba Rao as promised/assured. He performed for 1 hour and forgot to place DJ stent in my left uretor too. Catheterization was done by OT staff and due to improper placement I suffered a lot. I had severe bleeding and discomfort till it was removed. -> I was discharged 2 days later asked to revisit after 2 weeks. after going home I had fever from 4th day and it was high grade fever of 105 degrees temperature. My fever was not in control and was admitted in our own hospital and was on high antibiotics(magnex forte) for 8 days prescribed by general physician. -> after 8 days I was discharged and just after two days again high grade fever started above 105 temp. I was told to consult urologist immediately and get those DJ stents removed ASAP. -> I was given magnex forte again for two days and as soon as my fever was in control I visited Dr. Subba Rao garu said what has happened and me and my wife personally requested him to perform the surgery for left side stone as I had suffered a lot with fever. -> he promised and assured that he will do the surgery and told his assistant to include my name for tomorrow surgery list. -> joined again in 7th floor and those rooms are the worst and dirtiest. With cockroaches and bathrooms without no air outlet exhausts. -> next day rushed to OT at 5:30 and this time also Subba Rao has not performed the surgery. Dr.Vamsi was present and I pleded him with the suffering I went thru . He along with another trainee performed the surgery and removed the stone and placed the DJ stent again. -> I was having hi temp so they continued with magnex forte and PCM IVs daily for 3 days and temp was not coming down. So they started next hi antibiotic Meropenem and after a day my temp came down. All these days I had body temp above 104,105. ->again after 3days I was discharged and told to continue the high antibiotics for another 5 days and then revisit for DJ stent removal. -> I was discharged from Medicover and admitted in our organisation hospital and was taking the medication as said by urologist Vamsi. -> the nursing staff are the worst. The discharge summary they gave was of someone as they did not contain details instructed by Dr Vamsi. I had to call them ask to change my PCM fluid bottles. All the nursing staff were trainees from other colleges and they couldn't place the cannula properly. ->I shifted from Medicover to our organisation hospital for continuing the medication for next 5 days. Since 30 days I was on PCM 1000mg & hi antibiotics to control my fever. -> after 10 days DJ stent in the left side was removed by another trainee doctor again without anesthesia. ->my case was dealt by Subba Rao and not a single time he operated or came to check on me during my stay in Medicover hospital ->I went thru a lot of pain and suffering my parents and my wife were terrified looking at my condition and I had no hope.God helped me and now I'm doing fine.
Extremely Disappointed with Hospital Facilities and Services,Traveled from Odisha for Treatment, But Facilities Were Very Disappointing.... After the patient discharged the hospital whole night staying in this condition ... I had a very disappointing experience at this hospital. The facilities were poorly maintained, with unclean washrooms, and a general lack of hygiene in the area., making it very uncomfortable, especially for patients in serious conditions. There was no proper seating arrangement for attendants, and the medical equipment looked outdated. The staff seemed disorganized and uninterested in helping, and even basic requirements like clean drinking water were not available. Honestly, I expected better from a hospital that's supposed to provide care and healing. These conditions make it harder for patients to recover and cause unnecessary stress to families. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the infrastructure and cleanliness. My discharge time was given at 9 30 PM, but as soon as the formalities were completed, the hospital staff said, "You can't sleep here, just go." This was extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate, especially since it was late at night distance 300 km and we were arranging transportation. Hospitals should be more patient-friendly and empathetic, especially at odd hours. Forcing patients to leave without allowing them even a few minutes to settle or rest shows a complete lack of humanity and sensitivity. I strongly urge the hospital management to train their staff on basic courtesy and patient care. Patients deserve to be treated with respect, not like a burden.
Worst service inside hospital rooms, not clean properly. And cleaning boy's not coming in time patient facing personal problems, boy coming after same time asking tips after clean patient. Not only boys others also asking tips. But when calling boy for clean to patient but taking time minimum one hour. Worst service. See the pictures cockroach is there in room. I'm requesting every one staff, please do a properly and clean. be careful rooms. 7th floor
Thank you so much! Dr. Pavan Kumar Sir & Dr. Vinay Bhushanam Sir for the Neuro Surgery treatment at Medicover..Now My Father is getting better after the treatment & Soon I feel He will lead a normal life soon.
Heartbreaking Negligence and Utter Disregard for a Dying Patient My grandfather was admitted here in a critical condition, and what followed was nothing short of negligence and complete apathy. Even when he was visibly bleeding, the nursing staff showed zero urgency or care. The situation was alarming, yet no one responded appropriately. To make matters worse, they changed his bed without informing any of us, removed the monitoring systems without explanation, and treated him like he was a burden rather than a patient in need of attention. When my father and aunts confronted them, only then did they scramble to cover their actions by showing some questionable "reports" and reattaching the monitors as if nothing happened. But by then, it was too late. We lost him. This wasn't just a medical failure ... it was a complete failure of compassion, ethics, and responsibility. No family should have to fight for the bare minimum of care, especially in a place that's supposed to save lives. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through what we did.
Excellent service. But, auxiliary services staff to be increased. Long waiting at every counter can be avoided with increase in staff and counters. Cleanliness in toilets and overall area is average only. It can not compete with the nearby hospitals. Doctors service is always excellent
I have been living in Vizag for the past 8 years, and this is my first visit to Medicover Hospital. I am truly impressed with the facilities, cleanliness, and overall service. It has been a very positive experience, and I am happy with the care provided. Thank you to the entire team for maintaining such high standards.
