This hospital is an absolute disgrace to healthcare and humanity. It is the worst medical facility I have ever encountered in my life. The so-called doctors and staff here treat patients like experimental lab rats rather than human beings. Recently, I had a horrifying, life-shattering experience with this hospital involving my father-in-law, who was suffering from MND. We traveled 200 kilometers without oxygen support, aiming to move him to Kolkata where proper medical care was already arranged. All we needed from this hospital was a simple 'Fit to Fly' certificate. However, because it was a Saturday evening, they heartlessly made us wait until Monday for their concerned official to arrive. Upon arrival, they measured his BP and oxygen saturation which was around 93% and gave him oxygen support, temporarily improving his condition. It's crucial to mention that he had no lung disease his only issue was weakened diaphragm muscles, causing difficulty in inhalation. Despite this, a group of incompetent junior doctors and ignorant nurses administered an unknown injection and drip without informing us. Within minutes, my father-in-law began shivering severely. Despite raising the alarm, the negligent staff brushed off our concerns. Later that night, around 11 PM, he died in their hands. Their pathetic and unskilled attempt at resuscitation failed miserably. We had gone there seeking a simple certification to save his life instead, we returned home carrying his dead body. This hospital, its doctors, and its staff are nothing short of murderers through negligence. They destroyed our family and took away a life that could have been saved. No words can describe the anger, sorrow, and helplessness they have inflicted upon us.

Good doctors especially for heart for nowadays they're doing angiography and stent operations in andaman for free so that's a very big benefit for locals

This is very bad for us because we are in middle class family government hospital my brother visit last month but they are giving a date ana date i don't know what's going on ..... Our island hospital

Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital is the Main government Hospital which provides primary and secondary care at Port Blair for the patients of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It has almost all general specialities and also serves as a referral hospital for the entire A & N Islands. One have to register first through Aadhar card, mobile no then consult to the referred department.In the screen near to the registration counter one can find total registered paitents. In some department like Ortho where you have to register there also so one must confirm there. Tredious procedure and it take lot of time as many close relative of doctors, staff and high profile visit there without any token number. Everything is free from consultation to Medicine if available otherwise you have to buy it from outside. In serious case they will take you the Chennai government hospital.

My mother had 1st stroke attack we admitted her at 10oc. Doctor didt visited till evening 5oc... They just caring like high pb patient and giving tablet and no caring.. they forced mentally to take private hospital... We missed that 4 golden hours still we had time not to waste here so we toke her to Rithika... They immediately started treatment within a sec... Govt staff warned us that u taking risk by taking her to private if anything happens we are not responsible... They refused not to discharge patient and they took written statement if anything happens govt staff are not responsible then left us.. I dnt knw what higher post holders doing... I think their should b health inspector or some responsible person at entrance who have high power to take action on people should complaint register abt worst and irresponsiblility behaviour of staff and doctor... The staff thinks no one ask qst if they do anything..they are fearless

Worst and worst hospital.. No good facility is provided here. 3 month the construction r gong on the MRI machine and those who have the date the MRI scan they r suffering form the pain and these hospital r saying the I wil give u next date but.. again construction will gong on. U don't wn to serve ur patience properly.. Disgusting JBPant hospital

As compared to GH other states , this one is worst , for simple procedures they are taking 3 days , I think they force people mentally and emotionally to go for private hospitals.. they didn't care that for one person how much hole family is suffering... . My wife having miscarriage,and D&C procedure needs to be performed but these people taking threedays ,if I go in private hospitals patients can go home same day .. ,I have son 5 yr old have to care him also ... If you ask staff something,I thing they enjoy saing "wait" ,also saying that " if you getting free care you have to wait...

Doctors are coming at 11 o clock even then they taking more than 3 hours to check 3 -4 patient. Too slow and careless services. Staff are careless and mannerless. I Got appointment for 9 o clock but still standing in que and it's 1 o clock. Pathetic services by Doctor who are careless about people. I suggest you take small fee but please come on time to hospital.
