In the era of fake reviews and ratings--moreover, with reviews and ratings often being purchased for a few pennies--I am writing this with utmost honesty and sincerity. I had taken my friend to visit Dr. Dipendra Gurung, a dermatologist. He conducted the assessment and quickly understood the issue. Thereafter, he suggested some medicines. However, I had some doubts regarding a possible disease and, therefore, asked him about a relevant test. He then prescribed it. His act of not prescribing any tests on his own initiative is quite rare, given the prevailing practice among many contemporary doctors who often suggest numerous tests, some of which are unnecessary, merely to earn commissions from laboratories--commissions that can range from 40% to 60%. Surprisingly, he suggested only one test, and that too only upon my request. After receiving the report, which was absolutely normal, we went for a (free) follow-up visit. He reiterated the earlier advice and added a few more medicines. The interesting part is that he did not ask us to return unless my friend faced further issues. Such an amazing doctor. I would also like to appreciate Mr. Ravi Sharma for his polite and hospitable behaviour, despite being the owner of the clinic, Mahabir's Hub.
