Dr. Deben Mahata Govt Medical College & Hospital

I am currently admitted to Deben Mahata Govt Medical College & Hospital due to a stomachache, and my experience so far has been disappointing. The cleanliness of the hospital is **not up to the mark**, which is concerning for a place meant to provide healthcare. Basic hygiene should be a priority, but I noticed lapses in maintaining a clean environment. The **staff and nurses are not very considerate** either. Despite requesting the removal of my IV cannula after my condition improved, they **refused without a valid reason**, making it extremely uncomfortable for me. Additionally, I was not allowed to step outside to get food, which made my stay even more unpleasant. A hospital should care for the **well-being and comfort** of its patients, but unfortunately, that is lacking here. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and works on **improving patient care, hygiene, and staff behavior**. A little empathy and proper communication can make a huge difference for those already in distress.

Doctors are empathetic. Service is good . But more wards and department must be installed.

Deben Mahato Govt. Medical College and Hospital, erstwhile Deben Mahato Sadar Hospital, is a very old and the largest District Hospital in Purulia district. The hospital is located at the centre place of Purulia town . Purulia bus stand ,which is the main communication centre for rural Purulia, is very close to the hospital. Purulia Railway Station is some 2 k.m. away from the hospital. Good Medical facilities are available here. CT scan , X-ray, pathological test are done here. Medicines are also available here. Hospital wards are more or less clean . Good medical Services are available here. Campus area of the hospital is not so clean. Behaviour of Lift men is not upto the mark. Proper night staying arrangement for the patient party with availability of food and drinking water is required for the benefit of the people , particularly who come from remote rural area of this district for getting medical treatment of their members of family.

Very few kind of facility is available here If we Talk about it cleaness it is not upto date. Very Nearer to Purulia Bus stand And state bus stand only 3mint of walking distance Parking of car facilities is available inside the Hospital.

The Hospital is quite good but emergency unit is good,here outdoor is open till 1:30 p.m.every day from morning 10 a.m. and If you need any report of some taste just like blood,x-ray,usg,ct scan then please came before 11:30 a.m. and they are carelessly treating and some time take care.

Most worst hospital ,everything is dirty here,especially the behavior of nurses. Over loading patients, One bed used for two and more patients.nurse behaviour very bad in ISOLATION Ward.

Now the place is very good..like a big private hospital.

I m rating just 3 star cause. Accepting a good hospital, but needs a lot of improvement. The environment of the hospital is unhygienic. Proper facilities are not provided to patients. As a common person, requesting the government please open your eyes and try to look what the reality is...
