A 28yrs old male who is a chronic alcoholic was presented with the alleged consumption of insecticide poison in an unconscious and frothy state.. his spo2 was 55% at room air and HR 130bpm.. emergency intubation was done and kept on observation for 3days in ICU when found improved GCS we extubated him on day 3 but unfortunately he developed alcohol withdrawal seizures.. we reintubated him again and kept on ventilation for 3 more days and managed with iv anti epileptics and anti pshychiatric medication.
