Dr. Anbu Hospital

The cleanliness, hygiene, and overall neatness of this hospital are extremely poor. The place is overcrowded, making it uncomfortable and difficult to manage. Billing practices are highly unprofessional. For hospitalizations, they don't provide proper bills, especially in insurance cases where a portion is paid by the patient and the rest by the insurance company. For outpatient visits, no official bill is given--just an entry in the doctor's register. Most concerning is that for major surgeries involving 1 lakh or more, surgeons collect cash directly without issuing any receipt. These are serious issues that raise concerns about transparency and accountability. Not recommended unless these problems are urgently addressed by the management.

This has been one of the most disappointing and frustrating experiences I've ever had at a Anbu hospital at Kumbakonam. The level of unprofessionalism and mismanagement is simply unacceptable. My appointment was scheduled for 6:00 PM, but I ended up waiting for over 4 hours without any proper communication or updates from the staff. The doctor only arrived at 7:15 PM, well past the allotted time. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of response from the hospital staff. They were indifferent and failed to address even the most basic concerns. For a place that is supposed to prioritize patient care, their attitude was shockingly careless. If you're considering this hospital for an emergency, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. This facility is clearly not capable of handling urgent cases with the seriousness and speed required. There is no proper queue system, no updates, and no courtesy. I witnessed a patient having a heated argument with the reception staff, which clearly indicates poor communication and lack of professionalism. That patient had come for treatment for his baby, yet he was treated with disrespect and insensitivity. Hospitals should be places of care and compassion, but unfortunately, that was not the case here. Overall, this hospital does not value your time, health, or dignity. They are money minded people.I would never recommend it to anyone. Save yourself the stress and avoid this place.

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Completely Money-Minded I had one of the worst experiences at this hospital. It's clear that their main focus is not patient care but making money. From the moment you step in, every small service is charged heavily, and unnecessary tests are pushed without proper explanation. There is a serious lack of empathy from the staff and doctors, and basic human courtesy is missing. Patients are treated like profit-making machines rather than human beings in need of help. I strongly advise others to be cautious and explore better, more patient-focused alternatives. This is not a place for anyone expecting sincere and ethical medical care.

Treatment was so good but reception staffs are minimum takes more time to buy tablets

I brought my mother to this hospital for neuro consultation. Parking area was like chennai mannadi street. I was asked to park my car in veterinary hospital campus. OP consultation area was like vegetables market. Few people entered to dr room without following FCFS. My mom is 75 yrs old, but was not able to sit because much crowd. Medicine also high price. Waiting time is very high. Treatment also not so good. We started visiting Chidambaram instead kumbakonam there after.

All department doctors available It's good hospital compare to Mayiladuthurai Specially, Kidney Stone. Urology Specialist All. Time busy Hospital

Worst service, even we did operation they didn't care patient, nurses are very worst they don't listen patients problems, doctors not coming regularly. After discharge they called us to regular check-up but they did not tell us proper visiting time and worst token system they follow. Never prefer this hospital, compared simply go to govt hospital

Very poor hospital in hygiene and staff are unprofessional except few doctors ( Dr.Manjula, Dr. Gopalakrishnan, Dr. Arunachalam and few more) they rest are money minded. My wife was admitted few days in the hospital but room was very poor condition and toilets are very horrible. they have their own drinking water facilities available each floor but if you look at back ground of drinking water supply area you cant even imagine how worst that place. They were enough staff are available for house keeping but all are unprofessional and unsupervised by management staff. The below images taken from hospital during our admission.
