Dr. Kovai Medical Center and Hospital Emergency Room

The Kovai Medical Centre and Hispital(KMCH) is a multi-speciality hospital, frequented by a large number of patients from Coimbatore and the surrounding region.The 1,300-bed hospital, which had its opening in 1990, has various medical departments with specialists manning them. Its cancer treatment and heartcare centres and wards have made a name for themselves because of their success rates. A robotic knee replacement unit also operates at the huge hospital complex. Obviously because of its facilities, a large number of patients visit the hospital, leading to a bit of overcrowding. The standards of cleanliness and maintenance come under pressure because of the overcrowding. The OP area and toilets need more care and attention for cleanliness and order. Also, the medical centre needs better management techniques and style to cope with the rush and on keeping medical records and results. At present these areas are not up to the mark. The hospital on the Avanashi Road is doing a great service but could and should do better and more.

One of the worst place for medical consultation. They have advanced in collecting money from patients but they don't have a regular appointment . You have to wait endless and they don't care about your personal stuffs, all you to do is to allocate a complete day and spend a day of vacation kind of day inside the hospital so that hospital could collect as much as possible money from the people visiting hospital. If they have so much of patients why can't they have proper timelines to allocate for customer . At least an approximately timeline could be fine, instead they will ask you to wait indefinitely. Nurses are very worst , they don't care to measure your weight and height, you have to inform all by yourselves.Better visit any other hospital where you will be treated as a human first rather than a salve even after providing your money.

Facility was ok like a low grade hotel and doctors attention and patient care was completely questionable. If you are admitting for any kind of treatment like viral fever, cold, etc don't go here. I am honestly writing it was happened one of my close relative who admitted for just cold and report says H1N1 positive. But treatment was very worst and no one attended for almost 18hrs. Just nurse given glucose and other preliminary treatment. Next day duty doctor came and said it was just swine flu and settled automatically next few days and you will be discharged one or two days. But it was not happened and dragging to end of next day. In meantime, None of the doctor visited the patient. Only nurse is doing all the preliminary role again and again. Final bill was totally shocked us and end up in go for personal loan. . Now understood why they say medical field is inevitable, anything can happen to us after had a treatment in such a kind of hospital.

All the health specialists are there , I go for doing master health check up .. everything is there and very experienced doctor are available there . They have 2 mess and very good parking is available . The service very best there and staffs are very friendly behaviour.

Such a big Hospital, with so many trusted society people around 120sqkm health care needy throng every day. Their consultation fees for so high and the doctor dis not even ask any basic questions like are you on any regular medicine now. Are diabetic, any other allergies you may have etc. The general Physician did not even check me thoroughly but prescribed medicine for my throat pain. I had to tell him again that i have conjunctivitis as well. The medicine was 1/3rd the consultation fees. Very high

Really good service and well experienced doctors in all the departments. When you are planning for consultation go to the hospital in the morning 8 - 9 because there will always be more admission and getting a parking lot is very difficult if you are going to the hospital after 10. Charges are reasonable.

Pathetic. This hospital doesn't even deserve a single star. My parents were admitted here due to an accident and had to undergo surgery, but the doctor didn't bother to check on them until three days after the procedure. They act like all the rooms are occupied and refuse to provide any, leaving patients to struggle. Most of the nurses are rude and unhelpful, with no proper response to anything. It's like a government hospital, but with sky-high fees. They charge you for every single thing, and the treatment is outrageously expensive. Please don't come here incase of an emergency.
