Dr. Manipal Hospital, Kharadi - Pune

My recent health check-up at this hospital was a largely positive experience. The staff and nurses were exceptionally polite and professional, and their multilingual abilities eliminated any language barriers. The facility itself was impressively clean and well-maintained throughout, creating a comfortable environment. You will get to know your doctor before consulting through WhatsApp you get brief intro and the achievements of your doctor, I found this more interesting. Every hospital should adapt this. The only hiccup was a payment issue post-consultation where, due to a system error(no receipt printed after payment , like no transaction visible at hospital end ), then later I was accidentally charged twice. However, the OP Desk receptionist, Anamika, handled this efficiently. She was very helpful, acknowledged the error and checked with finance department , and processed for a refund, resolving the matter completely. Despite this minor glitch, the overall high standards of care and service make me recommend this hospital.

The hospital's final bill and discharge procedures were extremely disappointing and PATHETIC. After a major surgery, with plans to travel back home, the staff delayed processing, just to claim a half day charges for the patient just by holding the invoice of implant charges. I was shuffled between insurance, billing, and purchase departments, only to discover that each blamed the other for the holdup. The billing team claimed purchase hadn't sent the invoice, while purchase said the vendor hadn't provided it. I've been following up since 7 am and now its 11:40 am... yet not received the invoice. After this it will take one hour for insurance approval. feeling like I'm being passed around. The prolonged wait for insurance processing and approval made today's half-day stay unnecessary without any treatment. It seemed like a deliberate delay. Review from - Dr. Karishma Shaikh

The initiative started by the hospital is amazing considering the fact that the doctor is consulted one day prior so that the patient's day does not get waisted the next day. Good initiative by the hospital. Really professional staff and doctors. Keep up the good work!

The **insurance department** was extremely supportive, even beyond duty hours, to ensure a smooth **cashless process**, which was a great relief for us. My father underwent pituitary tumor surgery at Manipal Hospital, and overall, it was a very positive experience. The hospital environment was clean and well-maintained, the supporting staff was courteous and helpful, and even the food provided to the patient was of excellent quality. We had a pleasant stay throughout the treatment process. However, our experience at the time of discharge was disappointing. Although our insurance was approved, there were some disallowed charges. The hospital had informed us that they would send a reconsideration request to the insurance company. Since that process was taking time, we paid the remaining amount out-of-pocket, after being assured a discount and a refund once the insurance approval came through. Unfortunately, the next day, we received a call from the billing team stating that the discount would no longer be considered and that only the insurance-approved amount would be refunded. This was unexpected and felt misleading, especially during an emotionally and financially stressful time. We believe hospitals should stand by their commitments and communicate clearly and consistently with patients. While the medical care was excellent, the billing experience left a sour impression. I hope the hospital works on improving transparency and consistency in their discharge and billing process.

My 86-year-old father underwent Endoscopy Gallbladder stone surgery, Stent removal under the expert guidance of Dr. Mangesh Borkar Gastroenterologist and Dr. Arun Suradkar General Medicine. A special vote of thanks to Dr. Sinu who provided a generous way out for my father's intense shoulder pain. The X-ray and his perfect diagnosis were exemplary. The exceptional service and care provided by the entire team at Manipal Hospital truly made a significant difference to my father's overall health and he is on the road to recovery.
