Heartbroken and Disappointed - A Warning to Others We lost our beloved father on May 9, after a painful and rapid decline that began right after he was treated by Dr. Tanmai Yermal for angioplasty. What should have marked a step toward better health turned into a tragic downhill journey. Before this procedure, our father--despite living with diabetes and COPD--was mentally sharp, physically active for his age, and managing his conditions well. We are not doctors ourselves and may not be the right judges of medical knowledge, but one thing we know with certainty: our father was stable and living a decent quality of life before this intervention. Post-angioplasty, his heart function dropped drastically. His creatinine levels began to rise and fluid started building up in his lungs. He needed multiple hospitalizations over the next few months, and each time, we saw him getting weaker. Despite repeated concerns, Dr. was casual and indifferent. There was no structured follow-up, no urgency, and no compassion in how he approached our father's care. This is not written out of emotion alone--it's a factual account of what we experienced. We are sharing this review so that others may be spared from going through what we did. Please seek second opinions and do not blindly trust the system. One life lost is one too many.
