Dr. Dr. Benny Jose - Cardiologist

We were referred to Dr. Benny Jose, an experienced and compassionate cardiologist at Jupiter Hospital, Pune, by two highly respected doctors -- Dr. Sagar Bhalerao (Urologist) and Dr. Sumit Chandak (Psychiatrist). My father had a cardiac condition with blockages, and given the seriousness of the case, we were initially very anxious. Despite being from Kolkata, we chose to bring my father to Pune, purely because of the confidence we felt after our first interaction with Dr. Jose. He took personal interest in the entire diagnosis -- starting from reviewing the reports we had shared through Dr. Bhalerao, to being present during key tests like ECG, Echo, and later, a PET scan. His calm and attentive nature, coupled with his reassuring words, made a big difference to us and to my father, who felt instantly at ease. Due to insurance formalities, we had a short discharge but re-admitted my father on 30th July for the angioplasty procedure (angiography had been done earlier). We were informed beforehand that one stent and ballooning would be required. What really stood out was the transparency -- post-procedure, Dr. Jose walked us through the before-and-after images, explaining how the blockage was cleared and what precautions we needed to follow going forward. That clarity gave us immense peace of mind. Dr. Jose always greeted us with a warm smile and gave us his full attention -- something rare and heartwarming. It genuinely felt like he was treating my father as one of his own. His final gesture at the time of discharge was something we will never forget -- thoughtful and kind, far beyond the usual professional courtesy. But, he immediately offered to take me to the hospital for a checkup despite his hectic schedule that day. Noticing my reluctance, he alternatively asked me to visit next morning. When I visited Jupiter Hospital the next morning, he was extremely helpful and guided me through all the various check ups that I had to undergo throughout the day... He neatly explained to me the test outcomes and clarified all my doubts. I was lucky enough to not get diagnosed with any heart related ailments ...
