I urge everyone: always take a second or even third opinion before agreeing to any critical medical procedure, especially surgeries recommended in this hospital. Not all doctors or hospitals have your best interest at heart. Many are quick to recommend surgeries without exhausting other options. Don't let blind trust cost you your loved one. Ask questions. Cross-check advice. Seek opinions from independent and reputed medical professionals. Your vigilance could save a life and protect you from emotional and financial exploitation. I lost my near one.Doctor advised brain surgery during our first hospital visit and in fear/panic we agreed for it. Our mistake is we trusted blindly to doctor. Go for second opinion, especially after visiting this hospital.

This hospital is excellent. I brought a relative here for treatment, and Dr. Santosh Prabhu provided outstanding care. The hospital uses the latest technology for treatments and procedures. The staff, including the nurses, are very polite and professional. I stayed in an Executive room, which was exceptional. There are also Prestige rooms, Semi Executive rooms, and general wards available. For patients' relatives, the dormitory is a very economical option. You can expect an accurate diagnosis and excellent treatment here.

Honest Review - WIINS Hospital, Kolhapur We recently had our father-in-law admitted to WIINS Hospital, Kolhapur, and I would like to share our honest and detailed experience. It includes many positives and also a few suggestions for improvement, shared with the hope that it helps future patients and the hospital as well. What We Truly Appreciated: Cleanliness & Hygiene: The hospital is impressively clean and well-maintained. In such environments, patients feel safer, and families feel more confident in the care being provided. Compassionate Medical Staff: The staff across departments are warm and responsive. Special thanks to Dr. Jha and Dr. Archit who treated my father-in-law with genuine care and kindness. Exceptional Doctors - Especially Dr. Santosh Prabhu & Dr. Aakash Prabhu: The highlight of our experience was the involvement of Dr. Santosh Prabhu and Dr. Aakash Prabhu. In particular, Dr. Santosh Prabhu stands out not just for his medical knowledge, but for the calm, confident, and deeply humane approach he brings to every interaction. As the name suggests, "Prabhu" means God--and honestly, his deeds reflect that godly behaviour. He listens, understands, reassures, and treats patients and their families with utmost dignity. His presence alone brings a sense of peace and trust. Doctors like him are rare and a blessing in times of distress. ICU & Room Facilities: The ICU is well-equipped and closely monitored, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hospital provides a good environment for recovery. Canteen Staff & Food: A special mention to the canteen staff, who are extremely caring and respectful in their service. The food is hygienic, tastes good, and is shockingly affordable. I was genuinely surprised at how they're able to serve such quality meals at such low prices. This reflects the hospital's thoughtfulness not just towards patients, but also towards their families who may be staying for days. Focused on Healing: Above all, WIINS never loses focus on its main goal -- treating patients well. And in that area, it deserves full marks. Areas That Need Improvement: Insurance Department Miscommunication: Our patient had a co-pay insurance policy. We asked the insurance representative multiple times before admission if we would need to pay anything significant. We were told that the insurance would take care of almost everything except a few thousand rupees. However, after treatment, we found that a substantial amount had to be paid by us. While it was our responsibility to check the policy terms, the lack of clear and honest communication from the insurance desk added stress during an already difficult time. Billing Transparency: The office staff was quite reluctant to provide a detailed bill. We had to follow up repeatedly, and the attitude wasn't cooperative. In medical setups, transparency is critical--not just for financial clarity but also for peace of mind. Outside Food Policy & Eating Space: We understand that outside food is restricted for safety reasons. But not everyone can afford canteen meals three times a day. It was heartbreaking to see family members of patients sitting on the ground outside the hospital gate to eat food. A simple, clean, enclosed dining area for families to eat their own meals would be a small but very impactful step toward compassion and dignity and would go a long way. Gatekeepers' Behavior: The security staff at the gate were rude and needlessly aggressive. Visitors come in with anxiety and worry for their loved ones. The last thing they need is to be spoken to harshly. A little training in basic courtesy and communication is needed.

Feedback. Wiines Hospital offers excellent medical services. Dr. Prabhu Sir's treatment was highly professional and effective, and the entire staff was supportive, courteous, and attentive to patient needs. However, the medical charges are on the higher side.

My overall experience has been very positive. My father was admitted here for ICA stenosis, and Dr. Prabhu personally attended to him, explaining the condition and recommending the appropriate procedure. The surgery was carried out successfully, and Dr. Prabhu met with us afterward to explain how the operation went and provide details about my father's condition. Post-surgery care was excellent. The hospital staff took great care of my father and were attentive to all his needs. The doctors made regular rounds and personally interacted with each patient to gather feedback. The nursing staff monitored my father closely and were always available. We also appreciated the support from the hospital nutritionist, who carefully planned and managed all of my father's meals. The meals were thoughtfully prepared to suit his medical condition, ensuring both nutrition and comfort. We stayed in a semi-special room, which was spacious and well-maintained. The housekeeping staff ensured everything was clean and hygienic. The bathrooms were also large, equipped with hot water and a western toilet seat. Overall, we are very satisfied with the care and facilities provided.

We had a very positive experience at the Western India Institute of Neurosciences. My father was admitted due to a medullary infarct and seizure, and we were extremely anxious at the time. However, the treatment he received here was exceptional -- and most importantly, it was managed without the need for surgery. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Pravin Holkar and Dr. Santosh Prabhu for their expert care, guidance, and compassion throughout the treatment process. One of the key highlights was the oxygen therapy (HBOT), which played a crucial role in his recovery. This innovative treatment was explained clearly by the doctors, and we noticed a visible improvement in his condition after just a few sessions. The nursing staff was attentive and compassionate, ensuring my father was comfortable at all times. We especially appreciated the regular doctor rounds and the fact that we received timely health updates three times a day. This level of transparency and communication gave us great confidence in the care being provided. We would also like to give special thanks to Dietitian Bhavana Daryani, whose customized meal plans helped my father regain strength steadily and safely. Her personalized approach and attention to detail made a noticeable difference in his recovery. Overall, we're extremely grateful to the entire medical and support team. Highly recommended for anyone needing neurological care.
