My heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Aadesh Shrivastav, an exceptional neurosurgeon who performed my father-in-law's surgery with remarkable precision and care. His expertise, dedication, and compassionate approach not only cured the condition but also gave our family immense peace of mind. Dr. Shrivastav is a rare combination of medical excellence and genuine humanity. We will always be grateful for the new life he has given to our loved one.
In 2018, I had L4L5 slipped disk for which most doctor suggested me surgery. Dr. Adesh Shrivastava was a big help not only in avoiding the surgery but his calming Nature and brilliant line of treatment provided me the relief I was looking for. It's been 5 years and even now I have to manage the pain through excercise and posture but we avoided an unnecessary surgery.
Our journey through my father's battle with obstructive hydrocephalus has been intense, emotional, and--ultimately--hopeful, all thanks to Dr. Adesh Shrivastava, one of the finest neurosurgeons we've met. In early April 2025, my father underwent ETV surgery under Dr. Shrivastava at AIIMS Bhopal. Within days, he was recovering well--walking, talking, and returning to normalcy. But sadly, in early May, symptoms began to return: frequent urination, memory lapses, imbalance, drowsiness, and finally, complete unresponsiveness. It felt like we were back at square one. We rushed again to AIIMS, and once again, Dr. Shrivastava acted swiftly--ordering detailed tests and expert consultations from all necessary departments: anaesthesia, cardiology, chest, endocrinology, psychiatry, and more. He diagnosed a closure of the ETV opening and decided to go for VP shunt surgery. On May 22nd, 2025, the VP shunt was placed successfully--and the result was nothing short of a miracle. Within 24 hours, my father opened his eyes, smiled, and began interacting. From lying unconscious for days, unable to respond or eat--he was sitting, laughing, and walking again. We couldn't believe our eyes. Even more impressive is Dr. Shrivastava's personal involvement: He gives you time. He listens to every single concern. He treats not just the patient but also the family. His team is polite, responsible, and responsive. He doesn't rush to operate--he decides only after a full evaluation. Today, my father is still recovering from behavioral symptoms like confusion, memory issues, and some emotional instability--but his life, mobility, and alertness were restored because of Dr. Shrivastava's expertise and dedication. The photo I'm attaching here tells its own story: You'll see my father smiling beside Dr. Shrivastava--a moment that means everything to us. It came after weeks of anxiety and sleepless nights. Seeing my father not just alive but joyful, beside the doctor who saved him, is something I'll cherish forever. From believing that private hospitals were our only hope, to now placing complete trust in AIIMS Bhopal--this journey has changed my mindset. And it's all because of doctors like Dr. Adesh Shrivastava, whose confidence, care, and surgical skills are world-class. Thank you, doctor. You didn't just treat a condition--you gave us back our father.
I recently had a Theco-Peritoneal Programmable Shunt surgery under Dr. Adesh Shrivastava at AIIMS Bhopal. He is an incredibly skilled and humble neurosurgeon. The entire process was handled with utmost care, and even after surgery, he continues to adjust my CSF pressure without any further operation. I am already feeling better, and I truly thank Dr. Shrivastava and his team for their support and expertise. Highly recommended! Piyush chaturvedi
