Dr. Government District Hospital, Vatakara

I recently visited Vatakara District Hospital and my experience was somewhat mixed. On the positive side, the hospital is conveniently located and easily accessible. The staff was generally friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. However, there were some areas for improvement as well. The waiting times were often long, and there was a lack of communication regarding wait times and delays. Additionally, some of the medical equipment and facilities appeared outdated and in need of upgrades. There also seemed to be a shortage of staff in certain departments, which could lead to delays in receiving medical attention. Overall, Vatakara District Hospital is a decent option for those in need of medical care in the area. While there are some areas for improvement, the hospital provides basic medical care and services in a clean and welcoming environment.

Some cockroaches living amongst patient's, other than that the the medical things are of 5stars worth. Tust this minor problem can be solved by pest control thats all thank you

Nurses are very bad behavior... and careless.. I came here for my mother's operation..For that they had given all the required reports in the hand of the nurse.. with some time left for the operation, the nurse came and said that she did not get an urgent report....but I am sure that the report has been given...When the nurse confirmed it, we went home and looked for 23 minutes, but the butt was not there. We went back to the lab and made a second report there. The nurse gave it..I saw that the first report put their table there when I asked about it. He just said that he missed it..It was a very unexpected reply.... We had a lot of tension for a while.They won't admit that this is totally a mistake on the part of the nurses....very bad

I am deeply concerned about the state of the district hospital in Vadakara. Despite being a government facility, they are not handling deliveries, which is causing immense hardship to the common people, especially those who can't afford private hospitals. This is a crucial service that should be available at a district hospital. Additionally, it's troubling that the government gynecologist, who is supposed to serve the hospital, is also working in a private practice right in front of the hospital. Whether they own the practice or are just employed there, it raises serious concerns about their commitment to public healthcare. With our new MP, Shafi Parambil, I hope this issue is brought to attention and addressed quickly. The people of Vadakara deserve better access to healthcare, and I urge the authorities and elected officials to take immediate action.

District hospital is only in Words, it has a primary health centre facilities. Only a few Doctors are doing their duty as a professional way, others are intended to do private practice. Professional Emergency medical support in Casualty is still a dream. If anyone get OP ticket without a hundred meter queue and waiting by standing, consider as it as a miracle........!!!
