Last week my father went for a biopsy test. While we visited on general surgery op the doctor seems urgently just give us a date for surgery without even verifying the patient's condition he just told us u need to come for the surgery day after tomorrow. We already told him my father is a heart patient so is there any problem.he didn't even care and visited the next op patient. On the date my father kept ready for surgery he was lying on the bed and his eyes closed they injected Medicines as well then a senior doctor appeared. For god's sake my father told him about the angioplasty and all then the main doctor immediately stopped the further procedures and was sorry about that. After we look upon the doctor who gave us the date for surgery he just went somewhere else we didn't even know his name (looks like a junior resident,he puts an specs) Just wanna tell u something always consider the 3rd option before surgery from medical college hosp. Especially that guy who was from surgery op

Patient Reviews
The Thrissur government medical College is an good hospital for every one, Today I have been visited the hospital, I am very satisfied with the over all services, if you were planning to go to the hospital you should go at earliest you can because when we will be late then the tockens will be very big so it will take somach time to consult a doctor , when a patient go to the hospital first time they must take the local op ticket after while consulting the local op doctor they will give you further details about to which Dr you would go and also take the tokan for that doctor , In most of the hospitals we can see the Dr were consult the patient very speedly but in case of this hospital the Dr will take time to understand the patient deseas, the toilets were very cleand as our home , and the response of the facilities were also pretty good . if the people who have been referred to any doctors then while taking the op ticket we must provide the details of the doctor which is reffered but I noticed only one bad thing is there no wast bin in the ground otherwise all are good
They provide good medical care. They have very experienced doctors and diagnose the disease easily than any other hospitals. Hospital is always crowded as the treatment is free. So it will be better to go early to book OP tickets.
Too crowded and busy always. You should have a lot of time and come early here for treatment. Free* treatments & medicines (from pharmacy) for everyone. If you have a BPL ration card, bring them for complete free.
Consultation is free. Diagnosis is almost free. The treatment is free. We get many of the medicines free. The doctors are most efficient. And then what is wrong with MCH? Nothing disappointed me except the lack of queue system and journey from one queue to another. The staff enters with their friends and they don't have any queue. The central database is connected, but it is not utilized for the eradication of queue system. Dr. Murali for lungs treatment is the best.
Zero coordination between employees, security's use the walkie talkie just as a prop, no sence if kindness and makes us walk all around the campus for a ticket! The patient treatment is horrendous, basically a torture to them!
Government Medical College Thrissur, established in 1982 is one of the leading centres in medical education in Kerala, India. Kerala University of Health Sciences began functioning in the campus in 2009. Spread over an area of more than 250 acres (100 ha), it is located in the serene surroundings of Mulagunnathukavu 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) away from Thrissur.
This place is well known to me from my childhood. It is in huge, sprawling area. There are too many good doctors here but their concentration is in private practice at home after duty hours. If the govt.can stop private practice , nothing like it. All the downtrodden can really take advantage of this hospital. I grew up in a place called Thangaloor which is very close to this Medical college and hospital.
