Very bad experience with the staff of this hospital.Dont you think even though it's a government hospital the people who comes to seek medication should be respected??The staffs and security s behaviour were so rude that we will felt humiliated and I'm sure 9 out of 10 people will think of going to private hospital next time even they don't money The attitude of the staff was not just rude--it was outright insulting. It made us feel like we were worthless. And what's worse is that I can't help but feel like most people, if given the choice, would never want to step foot in this place again, no matter the cost. Is this the standard of care we're supposed to accept? Is this the type of behavior that the hospital management encourages? Were they trained to act like this, or is this just their own way of ruling over patients, treating them like they're beneath them? I don't know how anyone could leave this hospital feeling anything but demoralized. The bribe given to the nurses in the labour room is another big joke... Seriously????? it honestly feels like a bad joke. My sister had just given birth, and my mother, following the nurses' instructions, brought fresh bedsheets for her. Yet, when she handed them over, the nurses had the audacity to talk behind her back, saying she hadn't given them any money for handling the newborn. They made it clear that unless she provided some extra money or sheets, they wouldn't even consider taking care of basic things like the baby's bedding. It was degrading. How is this acceptable? How is it okay for nurses to demand bribes, even from poor families already struggling with the emotional and financial burden of childbirth? It's unbelievable that this is happening in a government hospital where people come to seek care, not to be exploited. These people are paid a salary to do their job with integrity, not to extort money from vulnerable patients. They need to realize the harm they're causing and the trust they're breaking. It's not just about bad service--it's about undermining the very purpose of healthcare. This hospital has to be held accountable for the way it's treating its patients. These practices must stop.

My pregnancy check up were done in Victoria hospital by Dr Reena NR, chief medical officer at Victoria hospital. This is a hospital for uterus related issues and pediatrics. Plenty of feeding rooms were there with fan and light
District government hospital located in kollam city. For ladies and new born babies. It's very convenient and easy to reach this hospital by bus or train . Both railway station and bus stand are around 1 km. Free medical care and treatment is given here.

Had to go there to get Anti rabies hot after being scratched by a street dog, One of the worst experiences ever.
I had a very bad experience at the laboratory of Kollam Victoria Government Hospital. There is only one staff member collecting blood samples from all patients, which makes the process painfully slow. After paying for the tests, I had to wait over 3 hours just to get my blood sample taken. This situation is made even worse by the fact that pregnant women were fainting due to the long wait times. What's more frustrating is that the staff were prioritizing their acquaintances over those of us who were waiting patiently according to the token system. This kind of unfair treatment is completely unacceptable. Even though this is a government hospital, we are still paying for the tests, and we deserve to be treated fairly. It's no wonder that even poor people are opting for private hospitals instead. The hospital management needs to address these issues urgently to provide better service to all patients.
I had a very disappointing experience at the laboratory of Kollam Victoria Government Hospital. There was only one staff member available to collect blood samples, leading to an incredibly long wait time. After making the payment, I had to wait over 4 hours just to get my blood sample collected. This is unacceptable, especially considering that many patients, including elderly and sick individuals, are forced to endure such a lengthy process. The management needs to address this issue immediately to avoid further inconvenience to the patients.
Very bad experience. My sister got admitted prior to a day of her delivery. She was absolutely fine till the time of her delivery. All of a sudden she started bleeding and shifted to labour room. Dr. informed us that she is having fever (which was not recognised till she was shifted to labour room). Anesthesiologist or the concerned physician was not available at the time of my sister's delivery. Due to lack of proper equipment and facilities and concerned physician, Dr. Referred her to Medicity. If there is no physician and proper equipment, I don't know then why government is running such a hospital. I don't know why Dr. Considered a government hospital labour room as referral centers. I don't know why they can't arrange anything for dealing with temparature variations during pregnancy. Huge disappointment
