My surgery was performed by a highly reputed specialist in Scoliosis surgery, someone I had seen passionately advocating for this procedure through online platforms. He assured me that the surgery would straighten my spinal curvature, increase my height, significantly reduce my pain, and help me lead a normal life. However, even after five years, my spine remains curved. I still suffer from severe pain that prevent me from standing or walking for long, and find it difficult to even climb stairs. Although I was able to go to work before the surgery, today I can't even step outside. The surgery completely turned my life upside down. With deep humility, I urge others to seek a second or even third opinion before undergoing "Adult Scoliosis surgery", no matter how experienced your doctor may be. I think it is my human duty to say at least this much.

I went for two sittings. The consultation fee is 500 He suggested for x ray and blood checkup. I had complete blood check report from three months before and my back pain has a history of twenty years. An experienced doctor longer him can understand it's idiopathic scoliosis. Because I has previous reports from other doctors. He then wrote every possible blood tests and x ray. Blood test cost 4000 and xray 1000. First sitting was on saturday and then Monday we went again with the results. Every doctor in my knowledge has 7 days are opened for consultation. But he bought again 500 just after one day. And simply stated "yes.. There's a small curvature. Now take MRI from -----hospital" End of the story. Haven't visited afterwards. He might be a good doctor. But he makes the treatments much expensive than it really is.

Dr. Krishnakumar is the one who I consulted few years back. I was diagnosed with Scoliosis- a curvature in the spine. I met many doctors but none of them gave a positive thought. Finally I met him.. Probably he's a good Doctor for spine. But his assistant misguided us saying that he treats leg injury as well. We went the big 3 steps with injured leg and after reaching there Doctor told us he doesn't treat anything except spine! Duh! But he charged us Rs. 1000 consultation fee whereas Aster Medcity is charging highest consultation of Rs. 550 only for super speciality consultation. So I was wondering about this institution's overall medical ethics and approach towards an injured patient just to squeeze money! I'm writing this to help others not to get misguided like us.
