Dr. Welcare Hospital

We had excellent care and a swift recovery due to dedicated doctor. But The single room is not worth the price. It's congested. The complementary food was bad, had found foreign material in food, informed the concerned dept and they took a photo of it. The nursing team sometimes lacks communication regarding newly added medicine and existing medicine to be administered. They didn't administer the medicine we had to give to the patient which is fine. Very dissatisfied with food options.

We recently stayed at Welcare Hospital, Vytila, Ernakulam (Suit Room 8012) for the delivery of my wife, Hiba Gafoor, and we are beyond grateful for the care, support, and warmth shown by every department during this incredibly special time in our lives. First and foremost, a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Indu and Dr. Minnu for their expert guidance and compassionate care throughout the delivery process. Their efforts helped ensure a normal delivery, and we couldn't have asked for better gynecologists--highly recommended professionals. A very special mention to Head Nurse Jisha, who cared for us like a sister--always present, emotionally supportive, and full of kindness. She, along with the nursing sisters on the 8th floor, were simply outstanding. But what truly stood out was the nursing team inside the labor suite, led by Miss Jisha, who provided extraordinary care and support during one of the most intense and emotional moments of our lives. Their compassion, professionalism, and calm presence made a huge difference, and we'll forever be thankful for that. While the first breakfast we received wasn't up to the mark, we raised our concern and were immediately heard. From that very same day, Mr. Labulal (PRO & F&B Specialist), along with Mr. Bino Baby and Mr. Jojo, completely transformed our dining experience. Dinner that evening arrived within 30 minutes, piping hot and of premium quality--and they maintained that level of excellence throughout our stay. Their responsiveness, professionalism, and genuine care for our comfort during such a special time made all the difference. They didn't just do their job--they went above and beyond, and it truly showed. Highly recommend this team for recognition and promotion--they deserve it! Thank you again, Labulal, Bino Baby, and Jojo. Another beautiful gesture came from the admin team, who went out of their way to decorate our room upon request, making our baby's special day even more memorable. It was a small act that made a huge emotional impact, and we're so grateful for their thoughtfulness. We are also deeply thankful to the marketing team, counselors, housekeeping staff, food delivery team, Medical Records Department, and the admission desk. Every single person contributed to making our stay smooth, positive, and filled with care and respect. Thank you all--you made our stay smooth and memorable during the most important days of our lives. Welcare Hospital is truly a place of care and excellence. Highly recommended.

My wife admitted for the delivery of our second child at the welcare hospital on 9/3/25. We are very thankfull for the care and suppprt of the doctors and all staffs of gynocology dept. Especially dr indu who helped us through out the journey.All nurses were very friendly and rooms were clean and spacious (fully air conditioned). Best reccomended hospital for the mothercare and delivery. Total billing amount is also low as compared to other hospitals providing same facilities. Negatives. 1).Room key not given. (when asked about it,they said it was taken home by the previous patient. So please take a duplicate key. 2) billing section staffs dont know to explain about the expenses. Later when i talked to other staff they cleared it very well. These two are the only negatives.

Sharing My Experience at This Medical Facility: 1. Administration - 1/5 The low score is due to several factors: poor management, lack of coordination, unclear internal procedures, and insufficient staff training. The administrative workflow needs significant improvement. 2. Medical Services - 2/5 While the hospital offers a wide range of medical services, their primary focus appears to be on maximizing insurance usage. Patients are often pushed toward unnecessary lab tests and diagnostic procedures based on insurance coverage rather than medical necessity. 3. In-Patient Finance Department - 1/5 The department's performance was extremely poor. Staff seemed unaware of the billing details and were unable to explain invoices clearly. Despite multiple follow-ups, they failed to provide proper clarification. Their only clear action was alerting patients or bystanders to settle bills immediately when the amount crossed 100,000--without any transparency or effort to address queries. 4. General Management - ?/5 Although there are supposed to be floor coordinators, I never encountered or interacted with any. The lack of visible or accessible management support adds to the overall disorganization. 5. Hygiene - 4/5 This is one of the few positives. The cleanliness and hygiene of the facility were well maintained. Recommendation: Think twice before choosing Welcare Hospital. Based on my experience, the name "Welcare" is misleading--it would be more accurate to call it "Nocare Hospital."

My overall experience at the hospital was truly commendable. From admission to discharge, the staff displayed professionalism, compassion, and efficiency. The doctors, nurses, and support team ensured that patient comfort and care were always prioritized, making a stressful time much more manageable. A special mention to the insurance wing - their service was exceptional. The team was well-informed, proactive, and ensured that all insurance formalities were handled seamlessly. Pre-authorization, approvals, and final settlements were carried out without delays, and they kept us well-informed at every step. Their clarity, patience, and promptness made a big difference in reducing our burden. Truly grateful for such a supportive and efficient team!

The care here is good. The doctor we are consulting is also good. Nurses and other health professionals are good too. The only problem I encountered was with the security guys. They are not considerate at all. When I visited the hospital, it was raining cats and dogs, I had my raincoat in my scooter. I requested them for an umbrella, to get my coat from the parking lot, and they were not accomodating at all. These agencies or security gurads need to be a bit more considerate towards patients. Or the hospital administration should take some measures regarding this. This increases patient satisfaction at a whole level.

Excellent Experience at Welcare Hospital. I had a very good experience at Welcare Hospital during our one-week admission. The treatment provided was effective, and we were well taken care of throughout our stay. A special mention to Dr. Mathew Varghese, the pulmonologist, whose service was truly excellent-very professional, attentive, and reassuring. He took the time to explain the diagnosis clearly, patiently answered all our questions, and ensured we felt at ease throughout the process. His professionalism and dedication truly reflect the high standards of care at Welcare. The assistant doctors were also professional and supportive, contributing greatly to the patient's recovery. The nursing staff also deserve appreciation; they were kind, caring, and consistently checked on the patient, ensuring comfort and proper care at all times. Special thanks to nurses Rohini and Ranjini. I would also like to express my heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Sreedevi, the floor coordinator, for her outstanding support. She visited us every day to check on the patient's condition and ensure everything was in order. Her dedication and personal attention added a lot to the overall positive experience.
