Just an average hospital. Services are not good for amount we have to pay. And experience with Dr. Jayachandran (ortho) was horrible. We want to take MRI from the lab recommended by him. I think he will get commission for that and the lab is not at all economical too expensive.

This is one of the good hospital in Aluva within the city limits. The hospital has almost all departments viz. gynecology, pediatrics, Ortho etc. to name a few. This hospital has also a lab and x-ray unit. Twenty four hours emergency services are also available. The doctors, nurses and other staff are cooperative.

My name is George, and I am currently residing in Europe with my family. Last December (2024), we visited Kerala to spend our annual holidays with family in Aluva. Unfortunately, I feel compelled to share the bitter experience I had at Karothukuzhy Hospital, Aluva. A week before starting my journey to Kerala, I noticed blood in my urine accompanied by severe pain. However, after drinking a litter of water, the symptoms subsided temporarily. Still, I decided to consult a doctor during my visit to Kerala for a proper diagnosis. On 26th December 2024, I consulted Dr. Mathew Mangat, a urology specialist at Karothukuzhy Hospital, Aluva. After explaining my symptoms, the doctor immediately recommended blood and urine tests, along with a scan (conducted at DDIC, an external facility). The following day, I collected my test results and revisited the doctor. According to Dr. Mathew: 1. The scan results indicated that my prostate was enlarged to 45 cc. 2. My blood test report from Karothukuzhy Hospital showed a PSA count of 6.41 ng/ml. Based on these results, the doctor informed me that I required immediate laparoscopic surgery. He even proposed scheduling the operation for 30th December 2024, stating his charges would be Rs. 65,000, excluding hospital and other related expenses. Since I have free insurance coverage in my home country (Switzerland), I decided to consult a urology specialist there instead. Upon my return, I consulted Dr. Christian Buchwald in Switzerland on 26th January 2025. He conducted the same diagnostic tests, including a prostate scan and blood analysis. The results were both shocking and relieving: 1. My prostate size was measured at 31.7 cc. 2. My PSA count was 2.65 ng/ml. According to these test results, I do not require any surgery. This stark difference between the test results from Karothukuzhy Hospital/DDIC Aluva and the results in Switzerland raises serious concerns: * Was the misdiagnosis due to a technical error or faulty machinery? * Was this a deliberate attempt to mislead and exploit patients financially? Such actions, if deliberate, are cruel, unjust, and unethical. Many patients might blindly trust their doctor's advice and proceed with unnecessary surgeries, unaware of the need for a second opinion. Through this letter, I urge Karothukuzhy Hospital to investigate this matter thoroughly. Patients deserve accurate diagnoses and honest treatment recommendations. Very bad experience from the front office staff.especially the Muslim lady very bad behaviour.. if the management can remove from the front office it's better for the hospital

It is not a hospital.The another version of finance company.They only consider money not a humanlife.Especially pediatrician Doctor.Very Very bag experience

Security and some ward boys have no respect for the elderly persons and very bad behaviour
