Hello, On 6th June 2025, I underwent Trans-PRK at Sushrutha Eye Hospital to get rid off my spectacles which I had worn from the age of 12 years. A week before surgery and throughout my experience, my counsellor Mr. Ravi stood out for his empathy and clarity. He took ample time during pre-surgery counseling, explaining Trans-PRK step by step--covering expected day-by-day healing, use of protective contact lenses, and pain relief strategies. His calm, reassuring tone helped me feel confident, which is a huge comfort before eye surgery. Dr. Prabhu deserves special mention. During the initial examination, he conducted thorough scans and compatibility tests to ensure my eyes were ideal candidates for Trans-PRK. His professional yet warm demeanor instantly put me at ease--he explained the procedure in detail, covering everything from the laser ablation process to the post-operative care. Under his skilled hands, the actual laser ablation was smooth and confident. The pre care was done by Dr. Namratha, who frequently checked in for faster recovery. After 2 weeks, my vision clarity has improved gradually--80% better. Doctors have said it will improve even more become normal after 3 months. Can't wait to experience HD vision :) Overall, taking into account the comprehensive counselling, expert surgical care, and positive outcomes, I wholeheartedly recommend Sushrutha Eye Hospital for Trans-PRK--especially with Mr. Ravi and Dr. Prabhu on your team.
