I had one of the worst experiences at JSS Hospital Mysore. The management is utterly disorganized, and the waiting time is inhuman -- patients are kept waiting for hours without any communication. The staff is indifferent and unprofessional, showing no empathy or urgency in handling critical cases. Cleanliness is highly questionable in several departments, especially the restrooms and general wards. Doctors seem overburdened and inattentive more focused on rushing through patients than offering any meaningful consultation. It's clear that patient care is not a priority here. Even basic facilities are either dysfunctional or neglected. I expected much more from a reputed institution like this, but what I saw was a shocking lack of accountability at every level. Would never recommend this hospital to anyone. If you care about your loved ones' health, look elsewhere.

This hospital is a scam - stay away from it! I am extremely disappointed with the treatment I received here. I came in with back pain, and they told me I had a small kidney stone, which wasn't a big issue. However, they kept me in the hospital for a week and charged me 80,000. During my stay, they removed my gallbladder and put in a stent without any real need for these procedures. When I went to another hospital for a second opinion, I was told I had no kidney stones or any other problems. I feel completely misled. To make matters worse, the nurses were extremely unprofessional and treated me very badly. They randomly took samples from me without labeling the tubes with my name. This is not only careless but also dangerous. Many things in the hospital seemed misleading, and I'm not sure if this is a hospital or something else. The care felt more like an experiment than actual treatment.we had a very bad nursing experience. Forget compassion, empathy or professionalism, nursing staff don't even show basic human sympathy. It honestly felt like college students, with no proper knowledge, were experimenting on us. I urge the management to look into these serious issues. Patients deserve respect and proper care, not to be treated like animals. This hospital needs to improve its ethics and overall treatment of patients
Doctors and Nursing staff were very good ...... they supported us.... explained patient condition very well and took care of patient in a good manner..... I would like to thank concerned doctor and nursing staff for cooperating with us.....
I am disgusted and disappointed with the kind of pathetic experience I had at JSS Hospital. First of all, the security guards, instead of maintaining order, behave like they own the place. Their rude tone, unnecessary shouting, and complete lack of manners make you question if they've had even basic training. The ward and ICU attendants are no better. Some of them act like they're running the hospital themselves. They bark at people as if they're doing us a favour. Their tone is insulting, demeaning, and downright shameful. This is a hospital, not a fish market. The so-called emergency department is another joke. A person named Avinash (possibly a nursing assistant) was behaving like a complete rowdy. His arrogance and filthy attitude were beyond tolerable. Someone seriously needs to school him on basic humanity and decency. Dr. Siddharth, the duty doctor, didn't seem fit for the role of a doctor. He dodged responsibilities, gave no clarity, and acted like he didn't want to be there. If you can't handle patients or emergencies, you shouldn't be in this profession. To the hospital management, shame on you for running a place like this. Train your staff or replace them. A hospital should provide healing, not trauma.
The worst hospital in Mysore. If you want your loved ones safe then never bring them to this hospital. Govt hospitals and Nursing home are way better than this pathetic hospital. There are 6 lifts but only 1 is operational because they don't want to spend money to operate the other lifts. All the doctors are students and they just experiment on you. Very rude staff. Very unqualified nurses, rooms are unmaintained, toilets are horrible, if a healthy person enters this hospital he is surely to come out with a guaranteed Disease. If any one from the the higher authorities of medical are watching this please shut this hospital down immediately before it ruin's the lives of many families
Worst service! I'm writing this after experiencing their service for more than 5 years. 1. Ambulance Service Failure We booked a supposedly free ambulance. Instead of asking for pick-up details, the staff immediately discussed charges--despite us confirming we would pay. When they arrived, they asked us to bring the patient on a bedsheet because they forgot the stretcher. Which ambulance doesn't carry a stretcher? 2. Unfair Testing Process for Admitted Patients Despite being admitted to the hospital's special ward, my grandmother had to queue for scans alongside walk-in patients. Rather than prioritizing admitted patients or issuing them a proper appointment number, they brought her via stretcher into a corridor to wait. Why bother admitting patients at all? 3. Inadequate Support During Shifting My grandmother is 75years old, weighs over 100 kg, immobile, and needed to be shifted from ICU to ward. One nurse and one house keeping lady were sent for assistance. We requested to send atleast 4 staff members for help but were ignored. Ultimately, four family members carried out the transfer ourselves and were barred from entering the ward to assist and security guard started shouting inside ward, who is there to maintain silence. 4. Empty Promises & Long Delays Staff repeatedly told us: "We'll shift within 30 minutes" from ICU to ward and asked us to be ready. We waited from morning until night, without food or water, knocking persistently--and staff verbally yelled at us whenever we asked. The PG doctors were mocking the patients outside the ICU that they made a mistake and patient had to go through it bcz of them. 5. Poor Food & Pantry Mismanagement No outside food is allowed. Canteen meals caused family members to fall ill with stomach pain. Meanwhile, the pantry staff on 5th floor prioritizes doctors or so called "doctor-to-be" students who came there to chill and gossip over emergency patient families --regardless of explaining the situation that we haven't eaten anything from yesterday and we have to go back to ward before doctor. 6. Caretaker Conditions & Medication Hassles Caretakers of ICU patients had to sleep in corridors; the few caretaker rooms are insufficient. Many were forced to sleep on the floor near restrooms. For every single item--even dressings--they were asked to go two floors down to pharmacy, even at night. This could easily be billed and delivered by the ward. Security guard will shoo you off as you are some kind of insects sitting in corridor who are just waiting there to bring medicine if they get a call from doctor or nurse.
Extremely Disappointed with the Care at This Hospital Admitting my grandmother to this hospital was one of the most painful decisions we've ever made -- and one we deeply regret. What followed was a heartbreaking experience marked by negligence, indifference, and a complete lack of humanity. Despite her being in a critical state, vital diagnostics like a CT scan were delayed for days. We were told other cases were a "priority," even though we were paying for her care and had clearly expressed the urgency of her condition. There was no sense of accountability. The doctors are rarely seen, and most of the patient care is left to postgraduate students with limited experience. Every day brought a new doctor with a different opinion, and there was no clear treatment plan. It felt like our grandmother was being used for practice rather than being treated with the dignity and urgency she deserved. Her health deteriorated rapidly after admission. The most devastating moment came when we were told she was "stable"--only to later find out she had already passed. Staff admitted they were instructed not to inform us, and only when we insisted on seeing her did the truth come out. That level of deceit is unforgivable. Even after her passing, we were given false hope with absurd suggestions that they could "bring her back." It is clear that many of the doctors here are overwhelmed with patient loads. But while they have many patients, I had only one grandmother. She was irreplaceable. Their negligence cost her life -- and that pain will never leave us. Our curse will follow those responsible. What they did cannot be undone, and we hope no other family has to go through what we did. This hospital seems driven by profit, not care. The system is broken from top to bottom -- poor communication, lack of experienced doctors, and zero compassion. If you value your loved one's life, please think twice before coming here. Especially for elderly patients, this place is dangerous.
I wanted to consult Dr Veeranna skin specialist having received good feedback from my friend. But by the impatience of the people giving appointments over the phone, Iam going to another doctor. They are in a hurry to cut the call, don't give full information reg timings etc. So disappointing
