I visited this hospital on 19th march 2025 to umbilical hernia laparoscopic surgery. Got really caring treatment and Dr. Ashwin sir who made me confident. I had no worry because of Dr. Ashwin Masurkar Sir. What a blend of Science and Art he has in his hands. Great. I met Dr.Ashwin Masurkar on 17 March, 25.in his hospital OPD, tensed & apprehensive about my health issues of ventral incisional hernia & umbilical hernia. After a lengthy consultation & thorough clinical examination, he said besides hernias there are other problems involved here, problems of Divarication of recti & damage of abdominal walls. After diagnosing the problems, he explained to me very clearly about the same. He prepared a surgical plan, Repair of ventral incisional hernia+ umbilical hernia+ TRA+Repair of Divarication of recti. The laproscopic surgery of the same was planned on 22 March, 25. I was impressed & convinced regarding his professionalism, in-depth medical science knowledge, hands on experience, expertise & impeccable surgical skills. The lap.surgery was done on 22.3.25.per the plan & it was full 4 1/2 hours long surgery. By the grace of God this lengthy & critical surgery went smoothly & a successful one. One can attribute the success of this surgery to Dr.Aswin Masurkar & his surgical team, his impeccable surgical skills, his passion, commitment & dedication for his profession & patients. The testimony to these is clearly evident that I could get up on my own & walk comfortably on my own within 24 hours after this critical surgery. Also I didn't take any painkillers till date ( advised as SOS) after my discharge on 27.3.25., except once. His post surgical team is also very good. They treat every patient with utmost care & patiently, inducing a feeling of one of their family members. About the hospital location & campus, It's situated on the outskirts of Gokak town, Dist:Belgavi(Kar). The area of the campus is very large with lots and lots of trees & greenary giving a feel of home/resort stay to the patients. The hospital is well maintained, clean & hygienic. Dr.Ashwin Masurkar & his team is rendering world class surgical solutions ( (especially lap. surgeries) health services and treatment in an affordable cost which is most important. We r blessed to have him here in this part of our state. Therefore one can approach him for all types of surgeries especially repair of all types of hernias. I would rate this five star & above. There is dictum as "Vaiddyo Narayan Hari"(equating Doctors to God). Dr.Ashwin Masurkar is one who perfectly fits in to this dictum. Truly happy & satisfied about the surgery, treatment and services. The experience I had with Dr. Ashwin, Dr. Rashmi and their team at Masurkar hospital was really good. I reached out to Dr. Ashwin and he was kind enough to do a virtual consultation and that enabled me to decide to go ahead with the procedure. He went out of his way to accommodate many things that I had to deal with to arrange to come to Gokak for the laparoscopic myomectomy surgery. The surgery itself went very well because of the expertise and vast experience of the doctors and their team. The post op recovery was made comfortable by the nurses and hospital attenders who looked into small details that make a big difference when one is in pain and needs compassion above anything else. The beautiful campus of the hospital being full of greenery is something that helps patients feel refreshed, taking a walk there a couple of days after my surgery made me forget the feeling of being a patient and uplifted my mood a lot. Even though Gokak isn't my hometown and we had to travel to come her for the surgery, it was a really good decision to go there. I'm glad I contacted Dr. Ashwin, apart from being a brilliant surgeon, he's an extremely kind and patient person and he does an excellent job of taking care of his patients. I extend my thanks to the staff of Masurkar hospital for their excellent service and I wish more health care providers are like this and look into all aspects of patient care, like this team did.
