Dr. TMH - Tata Main Hospital

Even not deserving single star, I had an extremely disappointing and distressing experience at TMH Hospital, Jamshedpur. The hospital seems to be functioning more like a business than a place of healing and care. Intern doctors are handling serious patient cases as part of their learning experience, often at the cost of patient safety. It feels like they are experimenting on people rather than treating them with responsibility and expertise. The nursing staff appears untrained and unprofessional, lacking the basic courtesy and skill expected in a reputed hospital. Once a patient is admitted, the environment becomes chaotic and highly stressful -- panic is unnecessarily created, leading to a barrage of tests and procedures that seem more profit-driven than medically necessary. In some cases, patients are even rushed to the CCU without clear justification. It is also evident that the quality of care significantly differs based on whether a patient is a Tata employee or not. Non-employees are treated poorly, and the costs are exorbitantly high for the level of care provided. This hospital does not feel safe or ethical for general public use. I strongly advise anyone considering this hospital to think twice -- especially if you are not a Tata employee. Don't risk your loved one's life or waste your hard-earned money.

TATA MAIN HOSPITAL IN JAMSHEDPUR. I've been looking for a week The cleaning staff is not working correctly and isn't maintaining proper hygiene within the hospital premises. Recently, on 10/07/2024, I visited (TMH) TATA MAIN HOSPITAL, and I was shocked to see the condition of the hospital. The cleanliness and hygiene of the hospital are greatly affected and need to be taken into consideration as early as possible. The floor was not cleaned, dustbins were overflowing with garbage and also the washrooms were stinking. Not using proper equipment and tools makes very very poor hygiene. Just because Unprofessional staff and supervisor. I believe you would consider the seriousness of the matter and take up to resolve this issue on priority

let me give you a tour of how this hospital works when patient visit emergency they first check that in which treatment category patient belong like green, yellow and red. if patient does not belong to red but requires admission in ward for that also patient have to spend 6-7 hours in emergency for no reason after that they will admit patient in ward. In ward doctors will arrive around 9 or 10 in morning and 4-5 in evening and if they ask you to do a test like x-ray or MRI it will not happen on the same day but next day or the 2nd day and if you have done any test from outside just day before admission the doctors will check the report but in discharge report they will write that you didn't agreed for the test even when the risk was explained. If for some reason your patient again get admitted in the hospital just 2-3 day after the discharge then patient has to again give blood sample for the same test because patient have spent a long 2-3 day that has done a universal change in his/her body. I have applied for cashless transaction but got rejected due to some paperwork so I paid the hospital in cash but in IP final bill they printed the insurance company name rather than general, then I applied for correction in IP final bill that took more than 15 day also the staff behaviour is outstanding every time you visit them they have one answer sir your process will take 2-3 day. In one of my discharge paper the doctor have copy paste the reason of admission, diagnosis and course during hospital stay from my previous discharge. the real reason was short of breathing and they wrote pain in lower limb. My mother is a ckd patient she also has vericose veins she was admitted their because of the pain in her right leg. one doctor said that this is happening because kidney is not functioning and urea has increased other said if urea has increased then every joint in body will pain next doctors said that in vericose veins you fell discomfort but not extreme pain in this confusion i chose discharge but in discharge paper they wrote DAMA, patient was not listening or agreeing for the test, no patient was listening but you are not able to treat properly, you all are just doing the experiment that's way we choose discharge.

Nowadays is t. M. H is falling down day by day . T. M. H is the only the name in jsr, jharkhand or to the world, But system is very bad, I'm seeing from 1month20 days almost,thats why I'm saying some ward sisters are not listening to the who taking care of the patient. Hence, another part of hospital security men as well as women are very rude to everyone the talking like a they are give sympathy to giving permission to meeting with the patient. They r not decor the manner or behivor him aur her self that's not good. Plz and humble req from the hospital see on it, If tmh wants to call me U can cll me

I m very thankful to Dr. Sneha Jha mam who give the very effective treatment of my Patient ... she is a very good doctor and a nice person... i thankful to her all team members who help us and treat my patients.

Have a very bad experience. We were waiting 9 am to 11pm for doctor meeting but doctor hadn't come.

This is not a hospital but a "Medical Mafia". This institution only works for Tata Group Employees. If you are a private patient seeking treatment here then it's a nightmare that you are getting for yourself. There is no system in this hospital. Rude staff, underqualified doctors, money milking admin staffs and top of it dictator style security staff. If you are not a TATA Group employee you will not be able to avail services through correct channels and payments, you will need to have some internal sources or bribing capacity to even avail basic facilities. I remember when I got admitted in 2023 for my kidney stones, I was rushed to the trauma unit and the nurse held the painkiller shot in her hand until my family filled INR 5K registration, I asked for a private cabin but the nurse said "It's only for employees". They will start making excuses and turn hostile the moment you bring insurance payment into picture. In short this is an institution that is severely biased towards the tata group employees and treat others like trash and see them as some money machine who can fund the employees free treatment. It's my personal opinion that if you have resources please don't waste it here rather find some other good hospitals and save your life.
