The Tibetan monastery is one of the major tourist spot in Manali. Tibetan Monastery is one of the oldest and famous place in Manali. The main attraction of the monastery is the handicrafts of Tibetan artistry and the carpets that are woven and sold in the monastery. The Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa in Manali was constructed in the year 1969. The architecture of the monastery represents the Tibetan style of architecture designed with hued frescoes. The statue of the Lord Buddha presides in the monastery. The Tibetan monasteries at Manali are one of the main Manali tourist attraction and features chiefly as an important pilgrim itinerary on a tour of Manali. The paintings inside depict events from Lord Buddha's life. The Kalchakra ,the wheel of life painted on the wall of the monastery shows the circle of life. The Buddhists believe that rotating it gives you salvation.

It's a surprisingly peaceful place in the middle of the town. It's an old monastery. Small in comparison to all others but equally good. One can just sit on the upper chamber and spend some time meditating.

It was our 5th place to visit in manali trip. We woke up early in the morning! we head over to hadimba temple, afterwards we experience this holi monastery. It is always a great experience to visit holi places and the place like this left some amazing impact on the sub conscious. The place is clean and the nature here is on its best. Amidst the chaos of traffic and tourists near Mall Road, this place is a hidden gem. Definitely a must visit if you're looking for a few moments of quiet and spiritual connection.

Peaceful place.. loved this place very much..This monastery is surrounded by pine trees and snow capped big mountains.. came two times.. A big statue of Lord Buddha is there inside Monastery... Monastery canteen is also there..just opposite to the Monastery.

Donno how to rate such a monarch of serenity. Beautiful place. Colorful clean and quite. Peacefulness at its best. Built atop of a small piece of land yet abundance of calmness. Topic apart yet must mention. Just in front of the main gate, a woman sells momo and dumplings. Don't miss a bite.

The place where you find monk praying and reciting verses of Buddhist scriptures. there is very famous market where travelers can get winter clothes and swols.
