Review for Guwahati Metro Hospital - Extremely Disappointing Experience I had a terrible experience at Guwahati Metro Hospital, and I feel compelled to warn others about the shocking mismanagement and lack of basic facilities. 1. No Parking Facility: It is unbelievable that a hospital of this scale does not have a proper parking space for patients and attendants. People are forced to park their vehicles far away, causing unnecessary stress during emergencies. 2. Rude and Unprofessional Staff: The hospital staff, especially at the reception and security, are extremely unhelpful and rude. Instead of assisting anxious patients and their families, they talk arrogantly and show no empathy. A hospital should be a place of care, not an environment where people feel humiliated. 3. No Seating Arrangement for Attendants: The biggest shock was the lack of seating arrangements for attendants, particularly outside the OT complex. Families of patients are left with no choice but to sit on the floor or stair steps, which is highly unhygienic and uncomfortable. This is unacceptable, especially in a facility that claims to be a reputed hospital. 4. Poor Management and Neglect: The overall management is highly disorganized, with no concern for patient comfort. The hospital charges hefty fees, but basic necessities like clean waiting areas, proper communication from staff, and even drinking water facilities are missing. It is disgraceful that such a hospital is functioning with such neglect. I strongly do not recommend Guwahati Metro Hospital unless they take immediate steps to improve their facilities and staff behavior. Patients and their families deserve dignity and respect, not this kind of treatment.

This is genuinely the worst hospital I've ever been to. First of all, the hospital is not maintained at all - there's a constant foul smell, which is extremely unhygienic and unpleasant. The female receptionist is extremely arrogant and unprofessional. The payment system is a complete mess. I made a payment using upi, and the amount was deducted from my bank, but they said they didn't receive it. I had to pay the full amount again, hoping the first one would be refunded. Even then, they were careless, slow to input details, and acted annoyed and almost threatening when I asked about the issue. This was all just for some basic blood tests like CBC and blood sugar, and they told me to wait until 6 PM for the reports. When I said I had work and asked them to send the reports via WhatsApp (which is common practice these days), they said okay. But later when I followed up, they told me the reports would be given the next day after 10 AM. Who takes 12+ hours for simple blood tests? And for other tests like LH and hormone panels, they said it would take 3 days - absolutely ridiculous. To make it worse, they don't even provide ultrasound services in the evening. I'm honestly concerned about how they would handle emergency patients who need urgent scans. Overall, the hospital is poorly managed, staff are careless, and the entire experience was frustrating from start to finish. I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND Guwahati Metro Hospital to anyone. Please avoid it.

I treated my mother there Dr. Gaurav Chayan Das, Interventional Radiologist did PTBD and Stenting and Dr. Bedanta Barman, hematologist look for overall medicine for my mother. The nurses behaviour and catering services provided by the hospital are Good. Both are the best doctors available in Guwahati I wish for great success in their life.

I chose to admit my wife to this hospital only because of Dr. Ira Biswas Ma'am, whose reputation and care we truly trust and appreciate. However, our overall experience with the hospital was disappointing. The hospital staff, particularly some nurses, displayed a lack of professionalism. Shockingly, a few didn't even know how to fix a cannula properly, which is a basic skill. While it's important to mention that not all nurses were unprofessional, some were indeed competent and caring the inconsistency in staff quality is concerning. We also had to request a room change due to a persistent dirty smell and the sight of cockroaches roaming around, which was extremely distressing in a healthcare environment. Moreover, the patient dress provided was not only discoloured but visibly unclean, reflecting poor hygiene standards. It's unfortunate that despite having a dedicated and skilled doctor like Dr. Ira Biswas ma'am , the hospital staff quality do not match the same standard. Improvements are urgently needed to ensure patients receive the safe and respectful care they deserve.

Horrible experience with security girl who waits at 2nd & 3rd floor, she had no basic etiquette & understanding. She scream, shout around at patient visitor inside the general ward like it's her hospital chasing out without even letting us meet the patient even for few minutes. There's no harm in requesting the visitors politely to leave soon after meeting the patient. She act like a jail guard, the moment visitors enter the ward she will start following & start scolding in high tone of her voice to go out making everyone at the ward look in dismay with her attitude. She had bad attitude, character, lacks basic understanding that people had travel from far place to come & visit the patient.

I am totally dissatisfied with the hospital. The service here is not what we had experienced in other hospitals here in Guwahati. Poor management,lack of communication and coordination. Some staffs have got great attitude issue. Waiting for test report is just another beyond limit. Think twice before visiting
